My Build Thread v4.0
Thanks for the advice. It did seem like a major PITA...
I'm good with my Walbro 450 lph in-tank pump. Should be good to 700 hp on E85.
Glad you're finally done with that headache. What's next?

Your Walbro may be rated for that much power, but also may be choked by the supply line and regulator. You may want to upgrade to 6an one day. Just keep a close eye on it when you get to 500+.
Yesterday I cleaned up a few more issues, but it looks good to go. Next step for me is scheduling a tuning session and getting my friend to help trailer it to the shop.

Yeah that is a good point. I'll have to keep a close eye on my AFR. I know at 30 PSI on my current turbo I can run consistently in the low 10's without a problem on E85, I actually run about 11:1 to keep it safe.
Bigger turbo = more fuel though. Time will tell. I really need to upgrade my rail or at least do an aeromotive FPR as well as your COP setup. I have to run a gap of .018 on my BKR7E11 plugs to prevent blowout at 30 PSI with the stock ignition system.
If I converted to COP would it function with the factory ECU? If not its one more thing to convert to get through emissions, though it probably wouldn't be too difficult.
Get that bish tuned already! How much boost are you planning to run on what fuel?

I plan to throw in E85 with my 220lb injectors and let him take over. Will probably sit around 10-12psi until I can properly break in the motor and make sure all the bugs are gone.
Just an FYI: Unless you have an in-line sensor that will determine the exact percentage of ethanol and adjust your fuel map accordingly, that pump E85 definitely has variances that result in slightly different AFR's.
I'm probably going to purchase a barrel from my local track to ensure I'm always getting what I pay for (E85 instead of E75 etc.).

VP Fuels headquarters is 20 minutes south of me. They have E98 which will allow for a ton more power. I need to stop by there soon anyways to get C9 for my two-stroke outboard (96 octane). I'm getting tired of cleaning the carb after each run due to the crap in the pump gas.

Yup! Since it's not a daily, I can afford to buy a 55gal drum. I've got a friend with a 9sec hatch that wants to go in on it with me.
You could run COP with the factory ECU just have to map out the wiring harness and run the COPS in batch like the OE coil pack. With the power your pushing though I really think you need to start thinking about running a true standalone. The new Haltech systems are pretty awesome and have provisions for a flex fuel sensor that opens up all kinds of tuning possibilities. Imagine a system that adjusts your fuel/timing maps based on the fuel in the tank in an instant and not after the fuel has already been burned and picked up by the O2 sensor?
Low to mid boost set ups are fine using just O2 tuning but when you start getting into the higher boost levels and the insane amount of variability of E85 at the pumps you really need a much better solution if you want your engine to live a long healthy life...

VP is located in several areas: http://www.vpracingfuels.com/contactus.html
These guys are in IN: http://www.igniteracingfuel.com/E-98.html
Tdonnell might be in one of those liberal states that require OBD connections.

The Toyota COP's have internal ignitors, whereas the factory coils do not. So you'll need to work around that when going back and forth.
