Chose the slow boat shipping method from Amazon, so the tool still isn't here. But, I did manage to get a stock spring out using brute force. The Crower spring is roughly 1/8" shorter, and 1/8" wider than the factory Beta 2 spring. It'll still work as stated before since the seat and retainer have enough room for the added width.

Gaiz! I highly recommend getting the spring compressor. Worked like a charm. Took quite a bit getting used to and adjusting the compression length. Maybe 10 minutes fiddling with the first spring/keepers to get the hang of it, but then every one after that went very quick!

Haha even Google translate doesn't know what do to with that, nice photo though :-)

I've been waiting patiently to check out your new (massive) turbo but all I see is springs and more springs followed by a spring job... Enough with the foreplay, the engines hard enough already, it's time to get that thing in where it belongs!

Yea, I did the Google translate as well, but it didn't make sense to me, so I figured someone else may know. Not sure why they are talking about "Turbulence behind the car", unless someone that was there saw my Turby badge on the back. lol And I don't have any skeletons in the car either!

The turbo was supposedly shipped last week, but I haven't heard from my tuner yet. The head is already back on the block, so I'm ready to start her back up once the turbo gets here.

Cool, not bad for a weekends work. I guess your new rev limit is around 7500? Just out of interest, what ecu are you running?

I'm in the process of building a new engine harness for my link g4+ thunder ecu at the moment. The dashboards out, intake manifolds out and wires are everywhere. I'm just hoping I haven't dug myself into a hole so deep I can't get out lol

Right now I have it limited to 7k, but will change it later. I'm running the E6K right now. Was going to upgrade, but had to buy a new turbo instead.

Fair play, are you running the stock engine harness? I'm trying to decide whether or not it's worth installing a mil spec bulkhead connector on the firewall for quick and easy disconnect... I was thinking of something like this:

It's just I want to avoid running the new wiring through the stock location as it's a real pain to get to...

I yanked out the stock harness and ran the new wiring through the stock location. It was a pain, but a one time ordeal.
