For anyone wanting to switch to COP's, here's the wiring diagram. Pretty basic as they're wired in the same as stock.

Thanks A-hole. That helps tons.

Seeing how jon wired em makes me think we can setup Honda COPs also. They are 3 wire. The aux wire jon didnt use is for a tach signal. Hondas have an internal igniter as well and may be easier to get ahold of(more vehicles use em...civics, s2000, etc)

It's not a tack signal dipshit. It's firing verification. Cars get tack readings from the crank signal.

Here, look these up on ebay. There's plenty of coils there for $20 each or less.

90919-A2005 (I have this)

Not verified:

90080-19015

90080-19023

90919-02234

And the Toyota coils are used on almost every one of their engines, just like Honda. So there's no availability benefit. I provided the wiring diagram for the Toyota and boot verification, so if you want to try something different and spend the legwork on figuring out the pins and whether or not the boot is long enough, then that's your call.

COP seems pretty cool. I imagine there is a benefit to this over using a stock setup, correct?

Not unless your boosting to 500hp or more and having to gap your plugs really tight. Or like you said, you want to look "cool".

Doing this is the equivalent of putting a parachute on your car cuz it's pretty. On stock it's worthless. Use the money to buy suspension parts.
