Damn I'd love to get ahold of one of his manifolds. I'm looking at going with an EVO manifold and making some modifications. That's if I decide to upgrade the turbo to a twin scroll.

Doesn't the EVO manifold have the same problem as the Eclipse? I believe the runners were slightly misaligned.

Tim still had his manifold from the Elantra when I last visited him. I'm sure he'd sell it. He offered it to me but didn't have the cash and didn't want to move everything. The manifold had very long runners and located the turbo up high where the power steering would go.

After I max the 60-1, I may be in the market for a new manifold. The 60-1 housing comes very close to the block, so it can't get much bigger.

I believe it does. I've heard there is some porting required but I'm sure it would work (just not optimally).

Isn't the manifold that was on his Elantra a top-mount style? Do you have his contact info? Or could you give him mine? PM for details.

I start to wonder if we will ever be satisfied. When I originally turbocharged my car I wanted 300 whp. Now I want 500, then I'll want 650, etc...

Yes, it was a top-mount.

He stopped answering everyones texts locally. Kinda disappeared again. lol You could try PM'ing him here and maybe it'll get through to his email.

I felt the same about power when I got nitrous back in 03. Started with a 35, then 50, then 60, then 100. Then in 04, I just wanted a turbo so I didn't have to refill the bottle and have instant power. Then wanted 250, then 300, then 500, and now I'm not going to set a limit because I know it'll continue. I just want to build everything to handle gobs of power and keep turning her up.

Did I ever post this video? I don't think I did because the wiring was all jacked up and it had no exhaust at the time. I can't believe it's been 6 months since I first started the car up. I should have this thing on the road by now!

I just GIS'd "industrial USB connector" and those three were some likely candidates. I wouldn't go with any but the first one either - and I also didn't find it again. But if you shave off the cap you might like

That's not a dual female connector.

I've needed to buy a helmet for a while now, so I finally hit the button:

The welding of the sump is taking a LOT longer than I expected. Not sure what his hold up is. In the meantime, I got my rail back from re-threading. Even though the rail is meant for a 3/8"npt, the 1/2"npt matches a lot better to the rail's bore. I got all the lines cut and crimped. I'm doing something a little unorthodox and using PEX crimp clamps to clamp the hose ends to the barb fittings. They're rated for 160psi. This is only on two lines, so if it starts leaking, then I can easily swap it out for true push-lock.

Turns out, he texted me late last night. Going to pick it up today. Gotta talk to him about adding E85 and reworking some of the vent lines. I looked through the Magnafuel manual and it states the factory tank vents aren't sufficient (like they already know) and to install a 1/2" vent. I'll have to look and see what it is and determine if it's truly inadequate.
