My Build Thread v4.0
Jon I had traction bars, coilovers, sway bars, solid bushings.
Ended up bending the traction bars. I was an active member of Hondatech and have been around some high horsepower Civics but our set up is different. Their cars are ligher, and everyone runs upgraded axles. Dogbox for high hp cars is a must unfortunately I didn't want to shell out 5k and still end up FWD. I broke input shaft and 3rd gear.
It was fun while it lasted but I did run it hard no doubt.

What I did enjoy was the turbo and manifold was twin scroll and for the size of the turbo I hit 5 psi around 4k and full boost at 5300k. The lag helped a lot with FWD wheel spin and hop.
Dam!!,Thats why I'm fine with a safe tune, meth, and a built bottom end at 300hp..its pretty reliable. I want to upgrade turbo, head and all, but then I'll have tranny/axel probs...decisions decisions...
Problem was I wasn't happy with 300 nor 350 and even 400. I was getting walked on by 450whp civics, gxr's, lambos, vettes, and the like. I was taking care of 90 percent of the street cars but hitting 500 I'd take care of 99...lol so that was my goal.

I can make traction bars for less than $100, and I already have a LSD, so the next upgrade should be the dogbox. Other than that, I'll just need to maintain it.
A setup like this still comes out cheaper than the Vette and Lamborghini.
Today I got Dosbox to load and read the com port. What a PITA! Hopefully I can go get some fresh gas and start it up tomorrow.

All these problems are ringing true and way too familiar. I need to build me a set of traction bars this winter as a precaution but having 3 of 4 mounts made of aluminum has certainly stopped all engine movement thus far.
Will be keeping an eye on this thread much like you have mine, one question though. Are you using a crash bar or not with that IC?

Nope. No crash bar up front. I just got done removing the rear bar and foam padding, totaling 14.2lbs. However, I will be constructing a parachute mount that will take its place. Will probably weigh more unfortunately.
Update: Haltech wired up. Cranks, fuels, sensors working, but no spark.
I hope there's nothing wrong with the ecu.

This may be a stupid question but does the haltech have built in ignitors for the coils? My friend runs a haltech and he needed an external unit to drive his coils.
I know our coils don't have a built in ignitor which is why I had to make a driver board for the Megasquirt.
