Welcome back dude. I always wondered what happened to you. I totally understand losing interest in a project. My Tib is sitting in the garage with a supercharger installed and is all ready to go. But I broke a wire somewhere and haven't wanted to spend the time to chase it down and get power to the ECU again.

Well, so far it's kept my attention for a week now. But, now I know why I stopped. All the little sh*t just keeps adding up. Needed several couplers and 5 90's for the charge pipes. Totalled $125. Then remembered that I needed another flange for the Synchronic valve. $25 there. Trans seals, $15. Need to fab a MAF adapter, $??. Needed more 6an hose and fittings, $25. And I haven't gotten to the "expensive" crap.

It'll all be worth it right?

Value is what the market is willing to bear. Are you willing to dump a few more grand into a car you really love, or would you rather see it go to the crusher? "Worth it" is something only you can decide.

It's sad to say but our cars are now at an age where things are going to be deteriorating frequently. I just broke an engine mount this week after hitting a six inch boulder in the road. They've been deteriorating but that was enough to crater the lower rear mount. Doesn't help that I lowered it, but I knew the dangers. Just hang in there. I'm such a huge fan of these cars the cost it worth it imho. Just remember the good time and anticipate those to come.

Just so you sluts don't think I stalled again, I'm gonna post every little thing I've done.

Last night, rather than cut/splice in 2 more feet of wire to the relocated alternator, I took the time to pull the wires out of the loom and ran it behind the engine in the existing harness. Took two hours. I didn't want the wires to route across and behind pulley's and spinning drive belts.

Mounted the new Aeromotive fuel filter. Had a large canister type since 2004, but thought this one was cooler looking and compact.

I've purchased some more parts for the charge pipes. Going to have the MAF welded into the pipe, so no extra couplings or plastic housing.

Basically, everything's in the mail. First shipment arrives tomorrow.

I'll try to get some new pics shortly.

Journal, Day 4,892:

Pipes came in last night. Got to mess with them for 5 minutes before my friend called and wanted to watch a movie. Hopefully I'll get them cut and ready to weld tonight. Also received the synapse bov mounting tube. Only lacking the MAF adapter in order to weld it all together.

Also messed around with the BMW powerwheel's new head/tail lamps for a bit. They look so cool. lol

Purchased a new aluminum half-size dual core radiator. I didn't feel confident that the factory civic rad would cool enough, and I really want to tap fittings to the rad for the turbo water-lines. Therefore aluminum for the fittings, and dual core for capacity. Will fab up some aluminum rad tubes to the motor with couplings once I take accurate measurements.

Bought Torque OBD2 reader. Want to get car running with zero/little codes to make sure everything runs on factory ecu before adding aftermarket ecu/injectors again.

Talked to an old friend from the Hyundai community who relocated down the street from me. He's gonna help with the tig welding, and perhaps hook me up with a Haltech.

Here's where the old hag is so far. Still lots of little items left to do.

Got the new radiator in and relocated the upper and lower support. Got the rad tubes cut up and need them welded and new couplers ordered. About to rewire the injectors and fan. Need to tap and relocate breather hoses.
