if the rattle is coming from somewhere that is out of site, and is from direct contact with something else, put something between them. sound deadening will work, but anything that will isolate the two panels from each other will be sufficient.

i had a rattle fromt he door panels too, after i got the tib back on the road. i layed some edead mat on the back of the door panel in certain parts and it has seemed to fix it. there was also a rattle from my crossovers in the map pockets, but that is gone now. wink1.gif

thanks guys. zoned, i do have an internal antenna. that one is just in there for the time being because i dont want to be driving around with a hole in the body.

next on the agenda is get throught the final week of this semester and get my associate's degree, first and foremost.

the last of my wilwood stuff should be getting shipped on the 18th of this month. im really excited to get working on that.

i also have the entire obx pulley set, and an adjustable cam gear on the way. i already got the power steering pulley in, becuase it was super easy.

i got the frame of my lilliput off of the rest of the monitor, so i can start on molding that into my radio surround soon.

i bought a couple cool cup holders off of ebay that will be going in an inconspicuous area as well; i dont want them anywhere near my monitor.

i ended up ripping the tweeter pods apart, because i was not happy with them. i made the istake of not sanding the peices before i started molding with that bumper repair stuff and along the edge of where the epoxy was it would start seperating from the panel. not really bad, but i want those things to be super smooth before i start painting them. its funny how amazing it already sounds in the car. cant wait until the front tweets get in there.

still working on the visor project.

also working on getting my opus120w power supply inside my case. im pretty close to having that done. im going to have a panel connection for the power wires to the opus/lilliput power/xm radio as well, so i can take the case out of the car easily if i need to.

EDIT-

apparently google vieo has my alarm video on its server, but the vid. isnt available yet:

What I did for quick removal was to buy some locking molex connectors. These have bigger pins than what you find on pc molex plugs and can handle more current.

I'm using a 6 pin one for my case, so instead of 6 separate quick disconnects to unplug, I just have a single plug. And then when I bring it in the house, I use an adaptor made from a second set which only connects 12v and ground, a simple (normal pin size) 4 pin female molex on one side, 6 pin male on the other. Then I can plug it into any PSU, or even leech off friend's PSUs when I bring it into their house. One benefit of having a pc that maxxes out at 50w.

Further up the wires, I use some 2 pin connectors or still use quick disconnects, so I can remove other individual components if needed without having to disassemble the main connectors.

I'm curious to see your solution.

There was no way an Opus was going to fit in my case. Now I'm either going with a Carnetix regulator, which has lots of options, including easy input for alarm accessory channel, or an m2-atx, which is overkill power-wise.

yeah that c134 is tiny. fitting any psu in there has got to be hard. i also made a home brew power cable. the opus 120w. has a 6 wire connector, so it has a bit more to it. 2 grounds, 2 constants, 1 ign. turn on, and 1 accesory turn on(remote turn on lead for amp). im also making a panel mount for my gps antenna-->oem reciever, which will be in my case. using sma connectors for that. im going to use the panel power&ground mount that came with the case for the cases's psu to power my lilliput.

anywho, here is the opus to panel part of my power cable. the left side is the connector for the opus, and the right side is the female part of a panel mount molex kit(or whatever they want to call it) i bought from radioshack:

did you ever consider mounting the psu to the top of the case? still probably not enough room for one of the bigger opus psus, but may open up some possibilities. the opus 150w is acutally pretty small

also, it looks like the video is working finally.
