OMG... how much did you pay for your alarm? that's pretty freakin' cool. What kind of alarm is it? did you have to install the window kits to do that? is that part of the alarm or was it a serious modification?

by serious I mean, did you have to construct a circuit board or program a PIC, or did they actually have an option for that with your alarm? I want one.

for opening it is a auxilary channel. closing them is just off of the negative armed output. i purchased two window modules for it, they auto sense current load and move on to the next one when it is closed. they were cheap on ebay from "asianwolf"

my alarm and remote start modules provide me with a total of 4 remote auxilary channels. only using three right now. trunk pop, window roll down, and remote turn on of all my underground lights and angel eyes.

Nice, I have some of those same connectors. Eventually I was going to mount some in my project box which houses my ITPS, posted in the rats nest thread, and be able to plug directly in there as well. But I'm definitely replacing it, trying to survive crank with it is nearly impossible. Have you had any power issues? Are you using the auto-on feature of the Opus? If so, did you have to wire together both the accessory and IGN wires to avoid reboot during crank? My accessory power shuts off when cranking. I've also noticed that my accessory power line that goes to the radio is WEAK! I've had a few instances when that has dipped into the low 11s while running, which initiates shutdown. I need to find a better switched source, seems like the stock radio wiring is pretty bad.

No one on mp3car.com has been able to cram an Opus into the c134. If you mean OUTSIDE the case, I may as well get a Carnetix for less $, since both would take up the same space. M1-ATX can easily fit, M2 should as well. But with my current PW-60 PSU, it's really simple to use in the house, and it has more than enough power for my needs, so I will likely just go with the Carnetix p1290.

That vid of your alarm is nice. Even my cat watched it for some reason, he was scared of your hand on my monitor. tongue.gif Makes me want a power sunroof. Maybe that's a good project for the summer, as my moonroof is creaky and needs seals.

my carpc stuff still isnt in the car, so i havent thought about that yet. wink1.gif

for the acc. input, i would use a relay that switches battery voltage on and is activated by something that remains on during cranking, like the ecu or something. i would have to look at some schematics to chekc things out.

and yes, i am using the opus integrated startup and shutdown controller.

did you see that one post on the guy that bolted the opus 90w to the bottom of his case and cut a hole out on the case? haha. it looked funny, but im sure it worked good.

Yeah, I gotta tell you, there's no way in Hell I'm hacking up a case I paid $125 for, not counting the PSU. Crazy, I could have bought an all al full tower desktop case for that. Ah well. Funny how less costs more. I need to get in on that racket.

You shouldn't be able to survive crank unless you do something like this:

The relay would probably work, but I doubt you would need it. The accessory input for your PSU only requires a few hundred milliamps.

Once again, the right way to do it. That's really a good thing tibby01. It's a much better method then the timers on the kits group buy'd on this site. How much were those Voltage Sensing Relays(VSR)?

This is what I have, although the unit is currently uninstalled in my box O parts. That's a good price for a new one, although there are probably generic ones for much less.

hmmm.... not many VSRs... just one! one window at a time. It makes sense. That's why tibby01's windows roll up one at a time. it switches control of the really expensive voltage sensing relay from one output(window) to the next................. wheels turning...........

Think i'm going to make my own... put that trunk popper output to good use.

this is the one i have. you can make your own, but in the end you spend way more money than just buying the modules...
