Many Many Mods(56k Killer)
i was going to put mine underneath the wiper cowls. plenty of room for a bunch of antennas, and it will only have plastic to deal with. id rather not have to deal with fishing the wire through that rubber loom for the hatch, that was a pain in the ass. harder than the door loom imo. running it to underneath the cowls would take 5 seconds for me.
thanks though dude.

You don't have to, I can show you a pic of my wire running, you can't see it at all.
I tried under the cowling but the reception sucked if I was facing southwest. Total loss of Satelite signal.
Not to mention, there's only a few spots you can put it there I found out. With how thick that f***er is.

Finally!!! It's hot man! well done.
Now post pics of the complete projects, for us to drool over, and get all excited.
If I would have took apart my car, I would be left with a couple of spare bolts...
Tell the truth..... Did you get a bolt that you can't remember where it goes?

oh yeah, definately. as long as there arent any rattles and everything fits together nicely though, i dont mind. wink1.gif
the worst part is, there really isnt much to look at. the alarm is pretty b****in, and the video of that should be ready in a couple days. had a kid yesterday flip out when he saw my car start and the windows go down before i got to it. wink1.gif
you can check out my temp. wiring job in fonseca's rats nest thread. once i get the front tweet pods done, ill post pics of all the audio stuff that is in right now.

very very neat man! didn't realize that it was so pretty down where you live. up here it's all concrete. a few exceptions...
wish i had the knowledge you have about all these electronics. you're so smart and you do everything right. damn you!

I call pre-emptive dibs on tibby01's car if he ever sells it. smile.gif
You've really done a great job, very thorough.
Although cutting a notch in the factory clips to get wires through to the doors is cheating! Damnit, why didn't I think of that? Now I have to redo mine. I went "around" it:

But the wire is more exposed like that can could potentially get caught or cut. I guess this is a good excuse to finally stop using the factory speaker wire for the doors while I'm at it.
I started with a similar model Zippy keyboard, but it's bright without being easy to read the keys IMO. A lot of people on mp3car use it, but I got a good deal on an ikey industrial kbb, and love it. They sometimes appear on ebay.
I'd like to know where you put your alarm modules. smile.gif There just aren't any good locations. Mine is currently in a somewhat unsafe spot, but I have a "shell" built for it using an aluminum sheet, which is screwed down over it. But that makes it a pain to make changes.
Your rear tweeters look great in that spot.
Others have mentioned leftover bolts, I have a box full of 'em. sad.gif I hate how there are so many with the exact same thread pitch and length, but different heads! I'm sure I've mixed up quite a few.

keep in mind, i had my fenders off, which is almost a must in getting those connectors unclipped from the door jam. i looked at it a couple days ago, because there is a break somewhere in the circuit from my driver side window to my pass. side. i cant roll up the pass. side with the driver side control. there is almost no way to do it without the fenders off.
ill keep an eye out for that keyboard. im having a hell of a time getting the zippy without the frame in the visor. ive already had to cut the structural metal rods running through it to hell, and its super flimsy. it looks like that one is smaller length and width wise, but a bunch thicker. ill just have to see how this ends up, im pretty close to being done.
there is zero access to my alarm modules(alarm and remote start) for a crook. with the crash pad off, i wedged them in between the firewall and the main interior wiring harness, from the top. they are really secure, and fit like a glove. it was also a very short route to everything i needed to get to as far as ignition and that stuff goes. my window modules are stuck on the right side of the blower motor plastic casing, and my two fuse blocks are stuck in the steering column support spaces. about 5 extra relays are just ziptied up to keep them from falling down into my feet. i even had to use relays so that when i roll up and down my windows with my alarm remote, it doesnt set off the motion sensor. that was a PITA, because the sunroof is included in that equation. i ended up using the lower power relays out of the factory keyless entry module, becuase i didnt want to use big, expensive bosch relays to bypass a sensor trigger. which ended up being another pita alltogether because they are pcb mount relays.
the mirror is really bad-ass, but it seems it needs to be a little stiffer. 15 minutes in my coiloverd tib and it starts to ease its way down. i think it would do it in a car with factory suspension too. kind of annoying because everything else with it works so great.
and hkc, keep reading and learning and you will figure things out. i do everything far from right, i had the dash off just the weekend to fix a couple mistakes from the previous 6month hiatus, and im still not completely done.
heres some pics of the keyboard in visor progress...
