Tdonnel, get your ass back in here! I'm willing to Paypal you some cash to go get that dyno RIGHT NOW. We need that dyno to complete this test.
How much do they charge? You didn't do any other mods to your car after the last dyno right?
BTW, I would highly suggest you all getting I/H/E and maaaaybe a TB/IM match before this. You'll need a way to get all that extra air in and out with the higher velocity.

PM sent Jon, lol,
The dyno I go to costs $55 for two pulls with A/F. I have a friend who works there so I get the A/F for free (normally $20 extra).
Since my last dyno I have installed an 05 elantra Beta II transmission, which has substantially longer gears than the 1.8L Beta I tiburon trans that was in the car. 4th gear goes at least 15-20 mph higher with the new trans than it did with the old trans.
How much power would be lost with that much taller of a gear? I figure only 2-3 because that is usually the gain from pulling in 3rd vs 4th. Opinions here please.
I guess I could pull in 3rd and then 4th?
I'm not as concerned with gains as I am to see how far the power curve will carry out with the cams and headwork. I think the headwork may really be paying off when I take it that high.
Do you guys think the bottom end could suffer from taking it that high? The engine has 72,500 miles on it.
I COULD go monday.
Thanks guys.

beta2 trannys kick ass. but the 06 trannys have tripple crown syncro's so i've heard. i love how tall the gearing is, i'm a high RPM nut i allways need every bit i can take.
Wow, thanks so much for the donations guys, it is really generous of you both.
That is why I think this is the best automotive forum out there, because the people support each other in times of need.
