you have to be doings something wrong, lol once you peel the old pan off it should be really easy. Just clean the surface and reapply, how "snug did you tighten them, i just got a tiny bit till i see the Rtv sqeezing out a all the way around the pan, then, i dont let it dry all the way cause i dont wanna break the bond, but i let it "SET" not dry then give them a small turn, maybe one revolutiuon a bolt or so... I have zero leaks, besides my pissed off power steering pump lol

That power steering pump leak might kill your alternator, ask me how I know

If you are using RTV to seal an oil pump gasket, be sure you don't use so much it makes a bead INSIDE the pan when you tighten it down. What you don't need is a bit of RTV to break off the oil pan gasket and clog some itty bitty passage in the engine.

FYI, there is also a high pressure 255lph, not sure which one you got, but even on stock setup, the HP would be to much for the stock FPR i believe.

You could be fine with the regular 255lph pump on stock until your boosted, but i wouldn't bother, as the fuel pump is a super simple install, and if it doesn't work well with the stock FPR you will have to remove it and reinstall later anyway.

there is just no point to installing it beforehand IMO.

You might have broke the seal by waiting all night to finish tightening them. try it my way, also when you get the pan clean, us some break cleaner on the block and pan, then lay the pan on the ground to see if it is level or close to it! Also Dont be to worried about the silicone if you use the two tubes supplied then your fine, you dont have to really worry about making it to thick or a bead on the inside, it will just help it seal! I am sure you noticed that the silicone doesnt come off very easy by now!

Too much RTV on an oil pan has and will kill engines. RTV on a gasket should be a barely-there skim coat or you've got too much.

Just ask these guys:

RTV has its place, and that place is not a big fat bead inside an engine's oil system.
