Even with Crowers you should check the block clearance. Mine appeared to clear just fine the first time around, but apparently the rods flex a lot more than I thought. This time I took out plenty of block material to be sure. But also made sure the piston rings would never reach the area I removed.

I'm not sure what stopped me when I last worked on the Tib, but there were lots of loose ends laying around. Then, I basically lost complete interest in the project....again. Over the weekend I cleaned up the garage and stared at the Tib a little. Kinda sparked my interest again. I worked 2 hrs tonight. Relocated the alternator. Bolted up the last motormount. Bolted on the shift linkage. Plugged in some harness leads. And now it's bed time. Not too much "free" work left to do. Still need charge pipes built and welded. Need abnormal size couplers which ain't cheap. Need exhaust welded up with downpipe and WG dump tube. Need to find a good place to mount the large Aeromotive fuel filter (harder than it sounds). And most importantly, an ECU with tune. It appears almost complete, but after compiling the list, there's alot lacking. Probably why I lost interest the last time.

It took years of collecting parts little by little to get where I'm even at, so very much feel the pain.

Don't give up yet! Squirrel some funds away every paycheck and save for it a little at a time. It'll add up before you know it and you'll never notice the money missing.

BTRcc and SFR have been visiting Texas for tuning events lately. Follow the Genesis tune locations for when they may be in your area next. They require 10 people in order to fly out and do a dyno session

Wish I could have a "garage wife" like you, but my primary wife probably wouldn't understand.

Same here though. I have other toys and people taking up my time whereas before, the car was full time.

I'll be making a big career move here soon, so I expect the money thing to change.
