Well, I got a lot of wiring done last night. The Tib is starting to come back together now. Just a few more items to take care of and I can start tuning it. The bad news is that when I wired up my PLX M-300, the sensor wasn't working. It was working fine when I took it out 4 years ago. So I ordered a replacement sensor last night. Coming 2-3 days. I've got other projects to keep me busy til then. Always something....

Jon, turn up the heat on that welder at least one number, the piping and flange are thick enough and the weld looks too tall (meaning you need more heat). You can try stitch welding it too if you are afraid of burn-through (just linking tacks together before the weld pool cools past cherry red). That usually results in a nice-looking weld.

Which haltech are you running? I'm on the e6x from 2003 lol (yours looked similar in the pic).

My crappy Lincoln only has two settings (I think). The upper setting burned right through.

I'm using the E6K. It does everything you would need it to. The bad part is that it runs on DOS and I have to run DOSbox on the laptop with a serial to USB adapter. That part sucks. If all goes well, then I'll upgrade to Platinum with the Racepak. I just want to make sure no major issues come up.

Wiring is pretty much done. Only need to add the boost controller but I think I'll hold off until tuning is done. I have several springs for the wg.

I also just got finished with the exhaust. This was not very easy. I just missed the hole by 1/4", but after trimming the bumper a little more and adding a stainless trim ring, it should look great.

That's exactly what I want, but local authorities frown upon it on local roads. Nice work!

My Honda friends drive around their drag cars with hood-exit exhausts. And one of them is an inspector, so I can get tags. Texas ftw!

Now that it's all prettied up for a decent photo, here's the new COP system. Really cleans up the bay I think. It should allow me to open up the plugs a little more. I'm still holding onto a DIS-4 if I get blow-out.

I may have missed it in the thread but how did you end up getting the cop setup to work? Looks pretty cool.

With a Haltech. You need a standalone of some type in order to adjust the dwell.

So a few more questions.

I recall you having different COP before that needed a plate to secure them, what are the new ones and why the change?

Hose coming out of the side of the valve cover? Breather?

Fuel rail. Interchangeable from another vehicle or did you have a piece of rail stock bored to our injector spacing?
