Whats Your SPEED.....?
havn't went really fast in my car yet.... not over 100 at least.... but in my friends Rsx type-s w/ V2 intake we hit 135 in 5th and decided to slow down.... i was suprised to think that we still had another gear to go...
Lil past 130 for me slightly down hill, been up to 145 on my bike tho...scary stuff. I also think our tibs handle great at high speeds. I dont even have strut bars but im lowered and the wheel kicked out a lil less than an inch all around...and it feels great.

It made me think of the guy in MN that got a ticket for going 210. lol.gif
How'd he get a ticket for doing 210???? :!:
If i was doing 210, I'd just keep going...screw pulling over there's no chance in hell a cop could catch you unless there's traffic or something (in which case you should NOT be doing 210...)
My tib only goes to 126 on a straight and flat/level ground w/ an intake and on stock rims/tires. My speedo is messed up (from putting my gauge faces on) but I know that speed was right because I flew by one of those things thast tells you how fast your going on the freeway. Seemed liked a bad idea cuz those speedo-things on the side of the road usually means cops but I was lucky. I'm kinda disappointed, I thought the tiburon could go faster...
I usually try and take it easy on my poor Tibby. Fastest I've went is 89mph, which was my trap speed at the track. Fastest in the GSX is 112, also my trap speed.
If I'm not mistaken, that 210mph guy got ticketed from an police airplane thingey. They get ur liscence plate no. and then send the ticket in the mail.

Wow...this is prolly the dumbest thread I've ever read. Oooh...who's gone the fastest on the highway? Me...at 115mph...oh nope...I beat you...I went 120mph...I did 200kph.
Wow...remind me to not drive with any other RD Tibs in the future.

I really don't see the point to it either. Thats why the fastest I've ever gone is what I went on the track. 120mph = setting yourself up to getting your liscence suspended for a year or so. Whats the point of doing that on the street anyway, I'll laugh if one of you is doing that and theres some debris on the road that you can't avoid, or you hit a dog/deer and tear the sheet out of your tib. Should be locked anyway since its basically street racing.
They're pretty nasty looking. On route to a car show, a buddy of mine was a little behind me because he missed a turn, so he decided to speed to catch up. Keep in mind this is a pretty tricked out Eclipse, and my bud is a good driver. Needless to say, he was going around 100 on a two lane road. Trees all along the side. A hunter had left one of those fake plastic ducks on the side of the road, with the duck on its side, so only the black and green head was showing. He saw it, and only turned the wheel slightly. He clipped the duck, and caused about 2k in damage to the right side of his body kit and car. If he had jerked the wheel to get around the duck, he'd be dead, retarded, or paralyzed.
Thats why I don't see why people speed on the road. You hit something small, your putting thousands of dollars of damage onto your car. You hit something like a deer, or you blow a tire and go off the road and hit a tree, your more or less dead or if you live, your Tib is really dead. They don't stand up to high speed accidents very well. At least on the track, your on a controlled environment. Open area, track surface prepped, and medical people pretty closeby. Less risk.
