Default DOn't understand , my tib works good in the snow???

I do 70 to 80 whenever I possibly can, which isn't often given DC's traffic. My tib has been to 116 on 95 South. I made it to ~138MPH in my first car. It was pegged for about 10 seconds and the peg was at 135. :-) It was fun. But I won't do it again.

I went 120 on a road where cops pretty much never are, but there are always cars. I just wanted to see how fast I could go, but then I got nervous and slowed down once I hit 120. When on the NJ Parkway, I usually don't pass 105.

just wanted to see how fast it would go one day..bbtb is only engine mod, and kumho 255/45/15s on stock rims.
130mph, late at night on the interstate, pretty sure it governed out, tach said like 5900. i don't believe anyone who says it was over 130 in a stock tib, sorry.

QUOTE (1997tibby)
Our Tibs DO have limiters, base 1.8l tibs top out at 125mph, 2.0l tibs top out at 130Mph, GKs top out at 145mph, got a kid with a gk all engine work, chipped, intake exhaust, bigger wheels, Stand alone, got rid of his limiter had it to 163mph, had to slow down no room to keep going! I have a 1.8 motor, put in a 2.0 tranny, and i till stop out at 125, but got enough room on the tach to hit 130. out tibs have rev limitors in gears 1-4 and a govenor in 5th! AND i drive from mid-Longisland, NY to Cleveland, OH alot and i've made it in 5 1/2hours!!!! average 6 1/2 only suppose to be 8hrs if drive at all posted speed limits.

^^what he said...

and most speedometer's aren't really accurate going that fast, your speedo might say 140 or whatever but your really not going that fast.
