i could have swore we had rev limiters...

i've ONLY got it to 110.... after that i got kinda worried. not scared. worried. i don't need the fines and shit that JalemX described above.

i now don't drive more than 7 miles over the limit (most of the time.) 3 tickets in 3 months kinda makes you change your driving habits wink.gif

 

Our Tibs DO have limiters, base 1.8l tibs top out at 125mph, 2.0l tibs top out at 130Mph, GKs top out at 145mph, got a kid with a gk all engine work, chipped, intake exhaust, bigger wheels, Stand alone, got rid of his limiter had it to 163mph, had to slow down no room to keep going! I have a 1.8 motor, put in a 2.0 tranny, and i till stop out at 125, but got enough room on the tach to hit 130. out tibs have rev limitors in gears 1-4 and a govenor in 5th! AND i drive from mid-Longisland, NY to Cleveland, OH alot and i've made it in 5 1/2hours!!!! average 6 1/2 only suppose to be 8hrs if drive at all posted speed limits.

 

just because you have rpms left does not mean you can go faster.. this is where drag and friction come into play.

 

I topped out at 125 on the autobond, I thought I blew my engine, scared the shet outta me.

 

Sorry guys, but you haven't done over 130. We DO have revlimiters.

Especially bone stock, not gonna happen.

The needle may have SAID 130, but OEM speedo's are only accurate to within 5 MPH anyways. Yours may be worse.

 

I could have sworn that last time I was in Germany, it was still called the Autobahn... someone wanna correct me here?

Oh yea, 112mph in my tib, flat ground from 0-112. Gotta love the prairies, no better place on earth to check wheel alignment!

 

yes they do still have it.. but I hear its crowded with small cars from eastern europe...

isnt it also "autobahn"? I know it is "autostrada" in Italy... no clue in france....
