I can see how these would help with engine bucking, but I highly doubt torque steer. Interesting product none the less.

Interesting redz... however I'd really really prefer just plain black. I'll check back as you get more info.

Anyways to all the disbelievers you have to really think of this as more of just an extra engine mount. Now what all causes torque steer? I have no idea if redz has ever replaced engine mounts but if you've got 100k on those engine mounts all kinds of things get worse. (shifting, torque steer, power output, wheel hop!) So a huge reduction on a lower hp car is going to feel like no torque steer at all. I had NO idea what torque steer was till I turbo'd the tib. On the other hand I don't see these doing anything some nice poly engine mounts can't do.

Second just google for "engine damper torque steer" and this isn't the only company claiming torque steer reduction. (I'm sure redz was exaggerating just a bit when he said none)

Well It cant hurt thats for sure. Guys the torque steer really is off topic. Redz said that it helped a lot and he is the only one with these on right now. So I dont think hes lying.

I wasn't, I have no reason to exaggerate about it, I have no profit on these.

My torque steer is GONE. If I brake the tires loose, of course it will do it, but I don't do that.

But don't mind me, I don't actually develop anything either, and just get free parts according to what the news is lately.

Redz, there is the point that you're still N/A and therefore wouldn't have the same torque steer as a turbo guy. I would imagine it greatly reduces it, probably to the point where you dont notice, but a turbo guy probably still will.

But he doesnt. Until a turbo guy gets these on noone will really know. Obviously at higher power its going to be noticeable. But it will still help a lot for any power range Im sure.

And this isnt some company claim. Its a user that has it on his car right now.

I know Caj, I only mentioned that like 4 times in this thread. I wish folks would READ every post, but they won't.

Supercow, good idea on Google.

QUOTE

Product Review:

After installing the Ingalls Stiffyâ„¢ Engine Torque Damper you can immediately notice the "stiffer" feel during start up since the motor doesn't "rock" as much. On the road you'll notice it greatly reduces wheel-hop during launches and torque-steer when running out your gears. Shifts are more precise while it does add a bit more "engine-noise" inside the cabin. The adjustable feature allows the assembly to be tuned and pre-loaded for racing and street applications.

I think that's enough for now.

But I agree, enough on this. If you want one, buy one, if not, don't.

It should be noted, for those that say I'm trying to drum up sales for profit, I am. For BHurlin. He is the man FUNDING all of these projects, I make NO profit off of any of this. Hell, DTN bought the first one that's sitting here at my house!
