Hmm...

2008 Kia Rio5

Long damper, and a set of premade brackets, worked great. 1.6L engine. Driver was VERY pleased.
2001 Hyundai Tiburon

Ours requires the short damper, and a pair of brackets I was sent worked, but we are getting some custom ones made so they'll be a bit more secure in place, and you won't have to trim any plastic from the coolant tank.
This is going to fit perfectly, and allow everyone, with any strut bar, to still use it with no modifications.
No holes to drill, nothing.
I DID take it for a test drive afterwards and was a bit shocked by how nice it was. No more torque steer, at all.
NONE.
None of that sluggish engine feel when getting on it after shifting, the engine stays in place. With the damper in place, the engine maybe moves 1MM under power.
They'll be available in the next month, probably sooner, just have to get the extended brackets made.
Price, will be well under $100. Can't guarantee what they'll be right now, but you'll be happy. CF, Red, Blue, Silver, and Titanium will all be available for the damper, but the brackets may not be in colors.

TITANIUM

SILVER

RED

BLUE
I'll post these pics at the start of this thread too.
Now remember, NRG is getting these brackets powdercoated and they will probably be in one color only, black or silver most likely, so no requests until we get these made again maybe.
Maybe. LOL

Oh my goodness! Is that real CF? It looks real, not wrapped! That is awesome! Dude, I so can't wait!
It dosn't really look secure there on that little 10mm bolt. You are going for the strut itself correct? Are you going to secure it on 2 bolts so that the mount itself cannot twist so the maximum stabilization is delivered?
Can you back up and show both of them at the same time? Oh man. That is hot!
How did it drive? was it hard or smooth? did it vibrate? did it make more noise?
oh, another question.. Are these ones adjustable dampening or fixed?

Huh?
DTN, like I said, the brackets are being redone for us. They'll be perfect. 2 bolts holding on each bracket.
Yup, it's real CF. Nope, we aren't going for the strut bar it'self, everyone would need a different mount because of different strut bar mounts. The Cruise control makes it almost impossible to put it anywhere else, and we aren't going to make folks lose cruise or their strut bar to have one of these.
Though it's almost worth it.

I'm not taking more pics, it's already off of my car until the new brackets are here.
As I said, it drove great. No torque steer, no engine slop. Ididn't notice any vibrations, and I was LOOKING for them.
I didn't notice more noise, but actually, my exhaust is QUIETER now. I don't really understand it, I think it's from the lack of vibration while shifting.
As they look in the pics, they are adjustable dampening.

I said strut, not strut bar. Dude, you've come through once again! I love you man! Those look great and MAN I am so horney looking at that on your engine. It's straight up sex.
I've wrecked quite a few of those 10mm bolts in my engine bay with a little hand held wrench. I think they break under about 30 inch pounds of torque. I don't know how well they'll hold against an engine for a while.

^ he's right. i've stripped those 10mm ones and by god what a pain in the butt. my vote goes to the bracket screwing into both coolant fluid reservoir holes, then the reservoir bracket on top and there you go, no cutting and extra support.
