Engine Dampers? Kfx Performance...
bullfrog and socks sent me pics. Looks good. Can't tell about the bracket on the strut tower... as long as it keeps the engine from rocking 10" back and forth then it should work. Anything should be an improvement.

The engine, as I posted before, can't even be seen to move other than a bit of vibration, with this on.
I should, as i also said, have the final design for them this week, and test them for a week or 2. Right after that, they'll be up for sale. so, end of February it looks like.

redz could u take a video of u revving with it installed?(vs uninstalled possibly)
how bout movement on the larger ones; its gonna move more cause the cylinder longer right?(like travel wise and/or spring rates) or is it longer so it reaches another mount?
im really interested, but i dn if i will get a job before the GB ends... i dont mind buying at a higher price anyway tho, those dampers look hot in CF! fing02.gif

You said "no torque steer''. I have to call BS
Torque steer has nothing to do with engine vibrations. It has to do with the open differential design. Unless you get an LSD or at least an insert for the differential there is no way of getting rid of torque steer.
Maybe ''no wheel hop'', but the torque steer will still always be there.
And also...
You do realize that putting this the way you are is making that very tiny L-shaped bracket over by the strut tower have intense constraints that migh cause fatigue in the material and failure early in life? Just because it doesn't break on the first try doesn't mean it'll last XX amount of time.
What material are those brackets made out from? Also, do you know what the stress threshold of the stock bolt is with perpendicularly applied constraints? All the force created by the motor is transmitted to that one single bolt, but mainly hitting it perpendicular from it's main axis.
What I mean is that perhaps you guys should do some more testing with these. I doubt you made any actual analysis of the resistance of the materials on these things, but at least test them for a couple of weeks/months.
On that note, the bracket on top of the motor mount looks nicely designed, but I would re-think the position of the second one.
