No, there will be ONE kit. This will avoid any problems at all. Wanna upgrade to cruise? Fine. Wanna sell your damper setup to someone with cruise? Fine.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (UrS0NvS @ Jun 4 2008, 03:49 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>well, the new flat plate is a no go. moving 1/2" over to the overflow tank still wasn't enough. 5/8" or 3/4" could work but then we are sitting on the overflow tank then.

so, a question for everyone.

I make a new bracket for the strut mount and front mount. the strut mount will have a step bend to bring the height of the cylinder up 1/2" . that will make the front mount of course have to make it 1/2" taller to mate with the other mount so we can keep the same 0 degree angle the cylnder is supposed to work at.

sure wish we could make a adaptor plate to move the cruise back 1/2", then all we would have to worry about is the power steering hose. let me know what you guys think. the new strut plate with the mounting hole moved 1/2" towards the tank will work then.</div>

No, just move it over a bit if you need to, TRUST ME, I had it installed for a few months, make the brackets how they were, but move the mounting bolt holes 1/2 inch to the front of the car and make them out of thicker material. if you put the bolt through from the engine side to the passenger side, there is PLENTY of space for the timing belt cover. My power steering hose is fine. ANyone else will be too, they just may have to flex it to the side some.

Just move it all forward some, and they should work fine. As I showed in the pics before, there is plenty of room.

See the space between the bolt face and the timing belt cover? See how the bolt is put through?

ON the upper side, see how it looks? Moving that FORWARD about 1/2 inch should work just fine and keep it simple.

yeah, i guess for some reason was thinking we were stuck with where the holes were in terms of north and south and could only move east or west. once you told me in the shoutbox that yesterday i felt like a real tool, lol. with the hydraulic stuff i build at work its the same rule, left or right, but not up or down unless signed off by the engineers.

but anyways...

I got the new plates drawn up on ME10 last night and we got a batch of 3/16" going over the table tonight.we had pierce point issues with the burn table last night or they would have got done then. I will have to get one of the guys on dayshift friday to bend the front mount for me as we have a new 325 ton cnc press with the right top and bottom dies. I haven't learned how to run it yet and everytime i try the damn safety light curtains goes haywire, haha.

trying to keep you guys informed daily on what is going on.

Lee

P.S. 2UNIQ... we are getting these built for everyone. i prefer sometimes to take my foot off the gas.

You guys know that it's OK to move the cruise thing around right? It's not a big deal, and really easy. Mine's been using an adapter I made for over a year now. When you install the Airram you have to anyway, because otherwise the cable doesn't reach the pulley. Don't sacrifice anything because of the cruise control module....

Yes, we know it can be moved, we've been posting about it. These are being designed so you don't have to though.

My cruise worked fine with my airram/spacer combo.

Sounds good Lee, just anxious to get mine back on the car.

got them both cut out last night . I left them at work so the front mount could be bent today. I will be gone for the weekend as i seriously need a kid fix. haven't been with my boys for close to 6 weeks now. I will be back roughly 7pm on sunday and will get pics uploaded then. sorry for being such a tease and I personally warn myself for that, haha.

but look at it this way. what company do you know that would take a part, get it reworked and ready for plug and play status for everyone in a week. very few i bet.

bolt holes moved 1/2" forward per request

old front bracket rubbed the P.S.hose on the upright part, not anymore!

plenty of room now for the cruise control.

view of top mount from the side of car.

front mount showing all OEM placement used.

I was kind of a "non-believer" of this part when i first looked at it, sorry REDZ. once I got it bolted on and took it for a test drive it made me a true believer. I bounced off of rev limiter at least 3 times in each of 4 stop -n- go's and never once did the car want to veer right changing gears.

the only question left now is: Do I really need to send this back to ABQ. roflmmfao.

I will take this off tomorrow and clean it up real good and send it back to you REDZ, this was a fun little project which made me realize how badly i really need to clean my engine bay.
