After An Auto Manual Swap..
There is a wire connector in the center console that formerly connected to the auto-tragic limp shift stick. That wire connector, you'll need to pull wire's 4 and 5 and tie them together. Again, use HMAservice and you can lookup the wire connectors by location or number (Diagram labels each connector) and it will also give you the pinout locations for each connector so you can find wires #4 and #5.
Regarding the ECU?... I never could get that damn thing off without breaking it. I held mine back on with zip ties.

Lol?
It comes off easy..flip that little lever and then there's 1 screw, then the harness just pops out of that black plastic piece. My problem is I can't get it back on. lol. Maybe I'll use some zip ties myself..
Won't cruise work even if o/d is off? (I just tested this on my other tib, and it does..)

It should still work with OD on or off, but for some reason, Hyundai decided to put that switch in the cruise control circit.... I dunno why.
Will cruise still maintain speed if you turn OD on/off? If so, I you might not need to bridge those wires.

ok, overdrive is completely unrelated to the cruise system.
in the auto tib ..
cruise is set with o/d on, works fine.
cruise is set with o/d off, works fine.
cruise is set with o/d on, then o/d is toggled off and it still continues to cruise.
however, I can't make my cruise work yet...I noticed that there are two clutch switches? Why is there a push button thing in FRONT of the pedal (meaning the button should get pushed in when the pedal is not pressed in) but the thing is that the clutch pedal is never out far enough to touch this button, it gets pretty close, but even if you try to pull it out a little it won't make contact. WTF, what's the point of that? Also, I have a wiring harness clip that is open down there and has nothing connected to it .. i've got no clue as to what it is.
Anyway, I connected ECU wire #14 to the BACK clutch switch I found (this would be the ignition one, so your tib won't start unless clutch is pressed in), I even tried both wires on the clutch switch and cruise won't work.
Didn't bother looking for the O/D wires because apparently it won't matter.
plz help, heh.

Mr. Grandaddy abandoned us ...
SURE it's pin 14?
Which clutch switch? (WTF is there 2 for anyway?)
I don't think the OD wires affect it.
If nobody replies I'm going to make sure the connections are all good, then if it still doesn't work maybe I'll start working on the cruise module and vacuum pump ...
gotspeed give it a shot and tell me how yours turns out.

After looking at HMA Service, it says to check wires 1 & 2 for overdrive to be on and wires 1 & 3 for OD to be off. Then it says "Check the movement of shift control solenoid by applying battery voltage at terminal 4 & 5." So my question is what do wires 4 & 5 have to do with OD being engaged or not?
