I swapped and had my cruise until about 4 hours ago when I installed the Airram, lol. I dont know man, ask Random, but be ready for a long long explanation. Although he's MIA right now, if you can get ahold of him thats your best bet. Mr. Schematics

Check out HMAservice.com. You can find out how the Cruise control works.

Look at the second diagram.

To make a long story short. Here's what you need to do.
Run a wire from the clutch switch to ECU wire #14. That shuts the Cruise off if you step on the clutch. If you didn't modify that wire, the ECU assumes you are always in "park" or "neutural".

You also want to bridge the 2 wires for the "over drive" button (wires 4 and 5), so the ECU/TCU/Cruise ECU thinks you've got overdrive enabled.

Those Two wires are the only difference in the cruise control system between AT and MT. If you do that, your cruise will work. It's not working now because the ECU think's you're in park/neutural all the time.

Gotta love ya Random, I knew there had to be something with the clutch pedal..
I searched on webtech and only found diagrams for autos, I couldn't find anything for 5spd ones to compare it with.
Thanks!

The clutch switch has 2 wires, both red. Then they go through a connector and turn into 1 black/yellow, 1 black. I assume I connect the black/yellow to ECU wire #14?
Also, I do not have a wire going to ECU pin #5..do I solder a wire to that pin and connect it to the #4 wire?

For the clutch switch.... just check continuity with the clutch pressed, and then unpressed, that will let you know which wire to use. NEVER trust hyundai wire colors.

Regarding the pin4 and pin5, that's on the wire connector for the SHIFTER in the center console...not for the ECU. Read the diagram mon! Eyecrazy.gif

oh! my bad..i was wondering why you would need to bridge ECU wires...

can you give me a tip on how to get the damn wire harness clipped back onto the ECU? i seem to be too retarded to clip the damn thing back on.

and i'm kind of confused on wire 4 and 5 from the Shifter? wtf?
