Hopw can you hook up a Beta I Engine to an ALpha ECU?
I thought that wasn't even possible...

Besides, what are the benefits of doing so?

learned something new never knew that was possible. Id love to hear a beta rev to 7000rpm.

now that this cam is in you guys think its a good idea to get a safc2 and have it dyno tuned at wot.

Ive read in the past that tuning our cars with a SAFC is only good for WOT because the ECU is smart enough to get aroud the settings in normal throttle unless its WOT when it dont read no sensors then you can adjust it period to lean or rich and perfect mixture.

The 1.5.DOHC's ecu is plug and play.

The benefits, better timing, revs to 7000rpm, not the same fuel map....

For me, my X3 didn't have the canister system that the beta ecu needs. Instead of installing it (changing the gaz tank, adding sensors...) we changed it. We wanted to try this ecu swap for a long time because of the specs, it just gave us a reason to try it. It also doesn't manage the knock sensor and has a speed limiter at 6000rpm in 5fth gear.

Oh my hell.. Me and Larry already had this discussion.. He has a point with the timing, but DONT rev your stock internal and stock head beta to 7k.. You WONT get anymore power, you WILL destroy your motor..
