<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (yellowcoupe)</div><div class='quotemain'>Got mine done today together with a 1.5way LSD put in....

rn 2b 20miles so far.

big diff.

gotta get used to it</div>

With L.S.D. installed, driving habit should change little bit especially cornering.

If you hit gas too soon in the cornering work, you'll have more understeer than before.

Recomendation: Go deeper into straight line and turn. Hard to explain w/o drawing board, but just turn in point should be little later than usual.

Installation:

For installation, the price varies from location. The installation cost $200 here where I know. $500? Must be rare place with no competition or something..

Try to find a shop near racing track, I believe race mechanic have more heart toward car modification and charge less. I may be wrong...

REDZ, the price of installing the clutch kit was $450. I had to replace the clutch cylinoid(whatever that thing is) which brought me to a grand total of $715. Ouccch!!

Good lord guys.

I wonder if I could get the Hyundai guys here to do it, I'm in REALLY good with them.

Or maybe me and Cysco will do it.

I knew of a guy in a town that owned an Elantra and put in the new clutch and flywheel with a buddy of his. The two of them were able to do it on their own. The positive of getting the dealer to do it is that if something goes wrong with installation, they're responsible.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (racereal)</div><div class='quotemain'>Well, I only saw V6 had five and never saw I4 is 4 or 5.

VHR only have one model per each car. Sorry I did not know too well for VHR whether it was 4 or 5 for I4, but you did not get anything other than what you suppose to get. Does it make any sense?

How is your drivability?</div>

well i will install the 5spd tranny in about 2 weeks, Im changing from the automatic to manual transmission.

my only concern is 1st gear engagement, and being stuck in traffic.

I dont want to ruin the disc in one hour because i was stuck in traffic.

I see that everyone so far is talking about 1st gear starts and stalling, but that was expected when I decided to get in on this GB.

I am very excited to get this project started, I will get bnack to you all.

i cant wait till you guys get up to 500 miles so you can start dropping the clutch so we can all know how hard it will really bite.

Anybody running boost or NO2 with this clutch????

Yeah ok I now have about 100miles on them so far.

LSD is fine. haven't really pushed it hard yet but feel that i'm oversteering more than before now.

Clutch is hell to engage 1st gear slowly (eg. while in a traffic jam or going around with cars ahead of me in a multistorey parking lot) Not enough gas and it judders like mad. And you can't give it too much gas cos you'll just have to stop soon again... or even worse, crash into the guy in front of you.

No matter how gently i let it go or how slowly... if u don't have enough gas on it, there will be a bit of judder. If you don't do it gently... they'll be a LOT of judder.

This is gonna take some getting used to. But i foresee hard driving will be great. it's only the slow traffic that kills the engine mounts and clutch.

Anybody has got some feedback and opinions?

well i shoudl be at or above 500 miles middle of next week..........gonna have sum fun on my way out to Dewey Beach next Thursday :-) (long as theres not too much traffic going out rt 50)

but i should be there before thursday maybe tuesday night or wednesday AM so i will give you guys my impression of just how bad ass this combo is b4 i go.

In one of my earlier posts i had rev to 2500 or 3000 rpm before letting off the clutch in first.....heres a revision to that :

make it 2.8k rpm to 3.1k rpm before you start to back off.....sounds like alot, but its the only way for it not to chatter....maybe it will drop some once completely broken in but i doubt it will be much......

DC RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC FVCKIN BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
