Car is READY!! I'll pick it up in a couple of hours. Wish me luck guys, the dealer mechanics kept on coming up with the things to fix. I put my foot down (I called the manager) and SUDDENLY everything is cool, like five minutes after I called.

just got my tib back!!!!!!!!!!!! now pls remember that i have been driving on a slipping ORIGINAL CLUTCH w/ 68k miles on it, with that in mind, read on.

OK, GUYS WHEN YOU GET YOUR CARS BACK AFTER THE INSTALL, BE PREPARED TO DRASTICALLY CHANGE YOUR DRIVING HABITS.

this clutch engages VERY ABRUPTLY!!!!!!!!!! and it does so about a 1/4 of the way out (on the pedal), for comparison, my stock clutch would not be fully engaged until my foot was about 1/3 to halfway out, i cant really tell a difference in pedal pressure though.

1st gear you WILL NEED TO REV. (unless you like stalling and chatter)
2nd gear you WILL NEED TO REV A LITTLE. (nowhere near as bad as 1st)
3rd-5th engagement is comparable to stock.

mine has less than 20 miles on it right now so i can't really get on it, but grip feels very good.
first and second gears are the only ones i noticed a difference w/ the flywheel, but i only drove about 6 miles (i'm sure the test drive was a little more)

I will update and edit this post in a couple of days, after i get used to it. I only stalled four times pulling out of the aamco parking lot. :-)

I got mine back yesturday and added 97miles on it. Drove around all over Corpus and back. You're right Tibwrc, there is a big change. I find myself riding the clutch a bit. This morning it died on me a couple of times going in reverse. It is definatey gonna take a while to get used to this. I hit 95mph on the highway and boy it felt good!!! Car feels like a champ!

Yeah Cyber, im prob close to 70 miles, getting better tho, gotta start getting outta tha house earlier so i don't have to sit in traffic (on hills), but as far as revving goes in first you'll want to be somewhere between 2500 and 3k, but dont go higher or wheels will spin......

'bout time REDZ.....;-)

yes, remember that the tranny has to be pulled, among other things to get the tranny out.

Like i said i prob could have gotten it done for cheaper if i'd had the time to shop around...........but i don't think my stocker would have made it to today..........it was really bad, I could feel it slipping in 3rd gear under light throttle, at 3500rpm.
