Took me a while to get the tranny out the first time because I didn't do that. VERY IMPORTANT.
Also be sure to get that throut bearing in there properly the first time. Unlike me 02.gif

o yes, shouldve said that before also, i did that too.....
be sure not to place the throwout bearing into the clutch..... slide it onto the fork and then reattach the tranny.

Any body have any tips for removing the tie rod? I read the DIY from skitso and after you remove the cotter pin and the nut it says to pound the tie rod with a hammer or pry it off the mount. Niether worked. Dont know what else could be done to get this damn thing off
Any personal experiance would be greatly appreciated.

finally dropped the tranny with some help from brian again.
Now im trying to figure out how to get the clutch pressure plate and throwout bearing out. In the DIY he says undo the bolts and pry it off, and I undid the bolts and there is no real place to pry from... Tried a couple spots and it did nothing...

Nevermind i didnt know the release bearing didnt have to be removed before the pressure plate could be removed. Brain to the rescue again.
I put my chromoly flywheel in with my stage 3 clutch, looks and fits great
Now im just having trouble mounting the tranny back on, suckers being a stubborn bastard. We got the top two bolts of the bell housing in but the bottom didnt want to go on, were thinking the tranny has to be perfectly level when sliding the tranny in, so tomarrow im importing another set of hands and possibly a engine hoist to hold the tranny while we guide the bolts in place.
