First of all, that how I run the business and that's our style and rules we've been follow.
If someone makes a complaint, we are more than willing to fix the problem.
He is obviously not willing to communicate with us and started complaints in public, and that is not something that who is not willing to communite with what we will try to offer
Second, just because you've been dealing with other Korean sellers do not stereotype that we are basically the same.
I used to live in U.S for over 10years and graduated from Business schools so I am sure I am aware of how it's done in U.S. I really appreciate about your inputs and thoughts but please do not try to tell us what to do without knowing our backgrounds and what we face everyday from international customers.

We would have been more than willing to fix the problem and communicated with him in emails PMs or MSN chat, but obviously he's not by looking at this thread and I made the last phragraph just because we do not want to deal with this kind of stuff.

We are not here to rip off someone but here to support and offer more KDM stuffs in your community, and I sometime really regret that I started up this kind of business when something like this happens.
Thanks
KDMguy

Is it too much to ask to get vendors that don't whine when something goes bad, but just man up and fix the problems professionally?

I think SFR is dealing with this issue properly. If it's unresolved through private e-mails and phone calls, THEN daniel should post the problems here. SFR seems to be taking any and all action to make this right. They offered to replace it if he's still not happy with their explanation.

What more could you want from them? They forgot to ship one of the two BBTB, big deal. They turned around and shipped it very promptly. Not their fault it took 6 weeks to arrive, that's shipping and customs, not SFR.

I don't see SFR whining, I see them protecting their business and reputation, which to me is still considered high quality.

Leave this between daniel and SFR... there is no reason for all the input by members not involved.

Are you serious? How are they whining? Did you read this thread?

Well.. I hope this gives all the answers to that but if you still do not trust us feel free to return all the parts back to Korean office and get the full refund for it. All of our NEW BBTBs will may look USED to you again, so you shouldn't try to order them in the future as well.
Feel free to contact us either PM or email
Thanks

sounds like he's fixing the problem professionally to me.

You missed the whole point of his pictures. He's not talking about the ring in the middle being discolored he's talking about right around the hole for screws to attach to the intake manifold. If you look at them you can see that it looks like it has been screwed onto another intake manifold already.
The first picture is the only one that looks like it would have been screwed onto an IM already... but those can definitely be caused from a drill press making the holes, couldn't it? The other side of those holes look brand new and untouched from the pics.

SFR - what about the size problem? 67mm vs. 62mm... he wants a BBTB just not that big dunno.gif

I'm pretty sure that the bigger issue here isn't the fact that it's used. It's the fact that it's NOT THE RIGHT PART. It's not the right size, the serial numbers don't match, basically, its not what the guy paid for.

KDMGuy, nobody is attacking you, this guy got the wrong part, and he wants the right one. It's pretty simple. I think this is being blown out of proportion, and you are getting way too defensive.

Run your business how you want, but IMO it is pretty simple what you have to do when a customer gets the wrong part because the company's packing guy made a mistake. You apologize, and exchange him for the correct part. Done deal. Why is this thread even here?

HOLY COW!
i've been a customer of SFR, and I must say they have really good customer service.
They're very easy to communicate
In particular, i've had no problems receiving my units (clear corners)

We need to understand both sides!! I think many of us were overreactive to OP's first post and started to come to our own conclusions without listening to what actually happened!
Obviously there were some things that were skeptical, but give the seller some time so he could explain what happened!

Let's show good sellers like KDMguy that we're trying to encourage his business, NOT turn them away!
A little more patiene and understanding would bring us more good in the long run smile.gif

i think that even though they might have been a bit snippy with DP they are taking care of business the way it needs to be. yes they havent even said anything about the size diff/wrong part but they have offered to provide full refund and that in my opinion is the same as them making it right in any other fashion.

KDM guy goes out of his way to help US get the rare parts for OUR cars. lets not scare him away from helping us with rude comments. cool.gif

Okay, everyone that is NOT INVOLVED HERE, SHUT THE HELL UP!

Rude or not, damn, bunch of whiners about something that's not even your problem.

I said let me work my magic, so let me work it.

Caj, seriously, if you have nothing that has to do with the TOPIC, don't post. You are getting officially warned on the next one.

Jay, the problem is as follows my man.

1. He ordered a 62MM BBTB, he received a 67MM BBTB, this is for a NA car and is TOO BIG.

2 5/8 inches = 66.67 MM.

2. The BBTB he ordered is DIRTY, and if you look at ALL of the bolt holes where it mounts, you can see that it has been on a car before (see the markings from the nuts in his picture?). Also, the screws in his that hold the butterfly valve are all screwed up compared to yours.

Now in your picture...

3. The BBTB he received has a serial number on it, it does NOT match the one on the box it was shipped in.

I'm thinking that System Upgrade sent you a used model in the box and didn't check it before it went out. SFR got it and put their stickers in it while it was wrapped up and never saw that it was the wrong one.

Now, Daniel should return the BBTB to me, and we should send him out the right one, and get this one put on our used list to sell, it'll go quickly.

Now that we have it all nice and neat, if you have nothing to do with the thread, please shut your pie hole.

Amen REDZMAN, you are the reason why I went to SFR in the first place and the reason I posted in here.

QUOTE (KDMguy @ Apr 12 2007, 03:42 AM)
I assume that you only have problems with our product than our customer service.

This is correct.
As I already stated they did act fast in shipping me out another BBTB, and I told SFR in my e-mails that was great.

Also I must say that my other BBTB you sent me doesn't look at all used, and neither does the one in your pictures. Unfortunetly (herein lies the problem) your pictures and my pictures are very different.

QUOTE (KDMguy @ Apr 12 2007, 03:42 AM)
Seems like you do not trust us when I did get back to you saying they are new

This has nothing to do with my trust for you, it has to do with I paid for a NEW BBTB and that is I want. for some reason you keep saying the BBTB I got isn't used and it is. Everyone can clearly see/say that this is a used part. Did you even look at my pictures I sent you in the e-mail? Should I MS paint the pictures and circle everything that is wrong with the BBTB I received so we are both on the same page?

What does ^^^ this mean? I have been e-mailing you (as you already admitted), how is this "not willing to communicate with us"?

QUOTE (KDMguy @ Apr 12 2007, 03:42 AM)
I've got an email from you but since you posted up here I will just reply it here."

Is this me not communicating with you?

So it is my fault? You are right SFR is the victim here.

The cruise control pulley is not defective. It was sandblasted to remove the old/original black paint. Unfortunetly they didn't do a very good job and left plenty of black paint still on there.
They also did not paint it. It is not silver it was just left bare steel and living in the midwest I assure anyone it will be rusted in no time. We have 90-95% humidity daily here on the lakeshore. Rotors rust overnight.

I ordered a 60mm not a 67mm. I'd love a 62mm though if it is at all reasonably possible.
I ordered a new BBTB not a used BBTB.
These are the only two issues here. Please solve them, that is all I am asking of SFR!

I sent SFR e-mails about this and they keep saying the same thing, that is isn't used. I even said I'd take a partial refund and be happy with this used BBTB. They still claim it isn't used. I said that it surely was and e-mailed pictures and to this very post they still claim it isn't used.
All I want is the part I ordered. Now I have to pay more money to ship it either to REDZ or back to Korea and wait yet again for 2-4 weeks until I get the correct part I oredered 7 weeks ago. I understand things happen, however why is SFR attacking me saying

How am I the bad guy in all this? In my e-mails I said it was only fair to either give me a partial refund because I got a used product or give me a discount on my next order. I think everyone agrees that is a pretty fair offer.

This was really uncalled for and unprofessional. Becareful what you wish for, because it someday may come true. I realize that if I take my business somewhere else in the future it will not affect SFR that much, but mind you a lot of people are seeing your conduct right now in this post. Again I never did anything wrong why would you try to shun me as a customer?

REDZMAN - All I want is what I paid for, you understand that. Can you make it happen? I am not blaming SFR, just not sure why they keep denying it is used. Sad thing is I am very leary of ordering more parts from SFR.

Where do I send it to?
