I seem to recall having to cut a wire and/or put constant power to a wire on the ECM. I've slept since then. I'll look into it when I get a minute but it's going to be at least a couple of days. Note also that I didn't start with cruise control, not sure if it matters.
If you'd said something about the bulbs when we talked I could have sent you all the exterior bulbs I stripped off my parts car before the recyclers came for it. Oh well.

^^ Nah, new bulbs only cost me like $20 for the entire car. As for the wiring, I think my splice didn't work out, since I did reroute some of my wiring to a constant 12v on the key interlock.
I just got back from getting an alignment for the car, techs told me that apparently my driver side control arm is trashed, since the car pulls so far to the left. Freaking $80 wasted just for them to tell me they couldn't do anything.

Okay, how about you are a small mechanic shop owner with fixed costs that mean you have to make $60/hour for every one of your employees. They take an hour to diagnose a problem. Should you just give that time away to the customer?

First off, this was a firestone, not a small mechanic's shop, they weren't strapped for cash. I've been to other firestones and had this same issue occur where they charged me a minimal amount for the labor instead of the full price of an alignment. I pay for an alignment, I want a fully aligned car when I drive out of there. If there's something stopping that, let me pay you for your time and be on my way. I was in and out in maybe 30 minutes, car wasn't on the lift for more than 15. Mitchell manual flat rate labor cost is $85/hr, alignment costs $80, full vehicle inspection costs $20. All they did was tweak the toe inward a little to compensate and then tell me I'm SOL, shouldn't have been more than $40. I found a new control arm for $35 at a yard, so I'll just bolt it in and get it aligned, though I don't think I'll be going back to the same place. If I do, I'll be asking for a discounted rate. Paying someone twice to get it right once isn't right.
On the upside, the tech flipped shit about how it was "new everything" in the car, said he hadn't seen anything like it in a while, everything was installed properly, made me feel good about myself to see the look on their face when I told them I did it all myself. smile.gif

Update time guys!
Got my CEL fixed! I'd wired pin 86 of the ecu to a bizarrely wrong wire. It's the correct plug shown in the illustration, correct wire, but in my harness it's a dead wire (a wire on one end of the plug and nothing on the other end). Instead, I wired it to the constant 12v feed on the ignition relay directly underneath the dash. I'll take a pic soon for everyone to see. This did two things for me.
1. No more CELs! I've driven about 500 miles since I fixed it and still no light.
2. Cruise Control works! Yeah, that's right, you heard me, Auto to Manual swap and I can still use my cruise control.

I feel your pain, I cant stand it when they try to take you for an idiot, specially when they know what your talking about
Couple of suggestions for you.
Call corporate,Or get the district managers number, speak to them explain the situation and see what they tell you.
Read the invoice for your alignment most shops guarantee the alignment for a certain period of time, if goes out of alignment they are supposed to re do it (I know thats not your case but is worth a try)
Last I just wanted to make a comment regarding how many shops only look at the total camber or total toe measurements, meaning if Hyundai calls to have
-03 to 03 total toe or camber they can leave the left side at a negative .03 and one at +.03 and tell you that is at 0.0 total toe/ camber when in reality you have negative camber or toe in one side and you have positive in the other one which is going to cause irregular tire wear and irregular handling. Specially if you have low pro tires. I learn this after paying for a lot of bad alignments. Than I found this shop that deals with Chassi Alignments and high end cars Called Miami Chassis and never again.
Good luck
