i took out the smaller of the two springs.

the bov isnt surging anymore, and we didnt really get to adjust it much , but we tired in the middle and it wasnt surging but it wasnt audiably blowing off either...tightened it again and it surged lol.

its going to take some playing around with i guess..

and i got her a tial wastegate too, and a BLOX manual boost controller to up the boost. Also got in my obd2 scanner last night..and hooked it up..its a nice little unit from equus, the innova 3130 model with live data display. Her LTFT right now is 6% i think.

Now i can actually tune it a bit once we get the wastegate and mbc!

Run the bottom nipple on the BOV. I have the same one, with both springs in it, and it even opens revving at idle.

The bottom port should be used on light to medium boost, and then the top one for 25psi plus. I forget exactly how it works, been a while since I researched it but there was a reason why I only chose bottom port lol.

ahh.. no shit.. i looked for a while on what the two ports were for.. didn't come up with much, cept the bottom port being an 'assist' to open the BOV or something.. ill try it today, and put the other spring back in and see how it works.

Actually Nate, I'm retarded. I have the top port vacuum and the bottom port open. My BOV is pointing downwards so from what I was remembering, the bottom port was being used, but in relation its actually the top port. Anyhow, mine is working alright from I can tell without really driving her. Just idle revs.

maybe hers is just extremley quiet because of the recirc...like you cant even hear it kind of quiet lol.

tanc is yours recirculated?

I have not even had anytime to play with it, melissa hasn't had much time at all either.

on a good note, our boost controllers might be in

would doubt its THAT quiet.. the BOV is pretty loud (atmos) during idle revs on my car.

mario, now youve confused the hell out of me..

that is NOT how i have it hooked up, just used that port for the picture.. which port did you use?

The bov doesnt do anything at idle rev... :S i can hear it a little bit when im shifting.. but it sounds like a bit of both the BOV and a little bit of compressor surge too.. its hard to tell over the blatting dumptube.. it needs to be recirculated..

the BOV should open very easily, even under non-boost shifts. mine will open when im driving thru a parking lot, shifting at 5in/hg just won't be loud.

open dumptube on the WG (i got sick of that REALLLLLLY quick)
