Perfect Power Smt-6 Wiring Diagrams Guide
I think I have spotted an error in the not so basic wiring diagram.
Is crankshaft position sensor B supposed to be connected to the injector - or Ig2 in??
I thought it is suposed to be connected to Ig2 in
can someone please clarify

Bal,
That's just how it is... the IGN2 in is not used for our cars, you have to use the injector - as a ground source for the CKP B.
That's why if you are using a dual rail setup, you won't able to do any timing (without an MSD) at all since you will need to use that injector - pin to ground the injectors this time
Yes!

ok im going to cuba for a year in Jan and i have been putting together my turbo project and i got the smt 6 and turbo box from denis...i will be using the duel rail kit also...and i want to get as much down that i can do without putting on turbo...so here is my question...
Can i hook up the SMT 6/turbo box as per that lastest diagram that Nate704 produced...but without the duel rail kit?

guys, did you put a resistor box in line with your secondary rail injectors?
I'm using 440cc injectors on the secondary rail. These worked fine before on my primary rail, so I'm assuming they (the 440 and the stock ones) are both either high or low impedance.

well for the past couple of days, i have wiring up my smt6/turbo box to knock some stuff out for turbo project...
i run into troubles but with the help of jay-m and yamaha i was able to get it resolved...
first if you have a laptop with vista the smt 6 software 2.6.11 with not work...
besides that make sure the wiring diagram is loaded or go to the global settings and make sure they are the way Jay-m says to do it...
last make sure you double and triple check your work...the wires are different colors from what Jay has listed...SO GO BY THE PIN OUTPUTS!!!!!

Yah i thought we mentioned it in this thread, maybe it was another, that you can never trust the colors and only go by the pinouts.
I had to use 2.6.7 its the only one that worked.

ok, well I'm pretty new to the SMT scene. Is there any way to wire the SMT to control larger PRIMARY injectors in conjunction with the ECU? A shop that's going to tune my tib wants to use either the stock primary injectors, or larger ones that we'll replace the stockers with. Is there any way to have the SMT control them so that they supply enough fuel under boost? If it's possible, would I just tee the SMT wiring into the stock injector harness? I'm basically looking to tune without the use of a secondary fuel rail. For some reason, they don't seem to want to work with any secondaries...
Any advice here would be great, as you can probably tell I'm a bit lost. laugh.gif

I believe you can do it that way but it will limit you eventually to a size not to far from stock. Someone that knows more about it should be able to tell you more. With secondary rail you can keep it basically feeling stock cruising around then the secondaries kick in under boost.

Thanks Eric. That's what I thought. And really, that's the setup i want to go with. I just can't afford the spacer/dual rail kit right now. And I figure that later on I can change it to the dual setup anyways.
Can anyone confirm if its just a simple matter of tee'ing the smt extra injector wire into the stock injector harness?
Thanks all
