Bal,
PM me or link me up to your EU version wiring diagram and I will add it here so it'll be easy for EU fellas to access this info.
Thanks

Has anyone ever tried running the CKP Sensor B wire from the sensor to another sensor ground then still have the IG2 out going to the OE ECU? I remember when I worked for a company that shall remain unamed that we had to do a similar setup for the Nissan 3.3L V6 Supercharger kits. It had a similar Sensor to the Beta1. It worked like a charm and allowed us to modify timing as well as fire the sub-injector.
I'll ask it here, already asked dmdicks via e-mail.
The last wire I have in my install is the rpm (yellow) wire. I have it wired in, but when I go online on the SMT-6, it reads 40, not 800. It does scale properly (i.e, when I rev the car to 2k rpm, the disply reads 80). The wire is on there good and on the right pin, unless I'm mentally retarded and miscounted 10 times. I do get an error: RPM Bad.
I read online in the manual vaguely that a poorly setup ignition can cause this change. As I don't have the ignition wired in, the only other ignition options are in the global settings. What should the global settings for our cars be? Specifically in total teeth, tooth per firing, and the type of ignition in the Mode setting. I figured total teeth were 60 and it was 30 tooth per firing, but when I thought about it I didn't really know the proper mode for it to be set on.

updates...
for some reason(s) on my car, the pin# 47 on the ecu harness (engine speed output) is not giving me the rpm reading on the smt-6. i have done this two times and triple checked my work and still nothing.
if this happens to you... you can take/tap the rpm reading from ecu pin# 16 (crankshaft position sensor a), but if you will be hooking up the smt-6 to modify your timing, this will be already done for you... just follow the corresponding wiring diagram here and it's good to go

HI All
Just Thought I would add to this great thread. (even though its old)
My Tib is the 97 1.8L Australian version . From what I can gather its the same ECU as the Euro one
The SMT6 is adjusting Timing,
Logging wideband (I intend to later use this input to read the Intake Air Temp and adjust Map
Adjust STD ECU Map
Runs extra Injectors
Note the Crank Sensor Differentail Amp. I had to Add this externally as the SMT6 cant use the Balanced Iginition input as it shares it with the Injector Ground.
I hope this helps anyone wanting to adjust Timing and also run extra injectors at the same time

Cheers
