Pushing it into the street so you can make room while you turn your mobile home around does not count.

I have kids, a family, and other more expensive toys to tend to. My excuses are justified.

The lug nuts I could understand maybe now you'll finally take it off the jack stands. I'm glad you got a new fancy steering wheel so your kiddo has something to hold onto while she makes vroom vroom noises in the garage.

Ps: the only movement yours has seen has been vertical.

Got a lot done today!

First, I changed out the wheel studs for the ARP's. Took about 12hrs to do! A lot of muscle and frustration. They really don't stick out much at all. I highly recommend these, since I've broken several factory/aftermarket studs.

Once done, I could put on the rest of my wheel jewelry.....the Blox lugnuts in black chrome.

Then, I installed the Momo Millenium Sport steering wheel.

Then, I diagnosed and got my friend's Tiburon running. It has sat as long as mine, but his was easier to fix and didn't require any money. Just needed some time dedicated to it which we're both in short supply of. Turns out he had bad injectors, dirty plugs, and crossed two plug wires.

Came back home and installed new leather shifter boots.

Overall, I'm very pleased with my selection of items. Especially the steering wheel. I was a little nervous about its appearance, but it blended perfectly with just the right touch of red to go with the factory interior items (gauges, carpet stitching, shift knob).

I think next up will be to play a little with the ECU, then take it to a real tuner.

Finished installing the e-brake boot. That one didn't fit very well, but should work out. Too late to contact the ebay seller anyways.

Here's the interior with new wheel, shift knob, and boot. Guess I could've vacuumed.

And the studs:

Here are the fronts with no spacers. They don't look too bad like this. The front wheels need 5mm spacers anyways.

And here are the rear studs with 15mm spacers behind the wheels. Perfect fit.

Well, it took about 6hrs to install the Aerocatch hood pins. Seems a bit ridiculous if you ask me. But, they do look nice. I would not however recommend these for RD2's. While I got it to work, they don't fit well since the hood slopes so much at the front. They are made for a flatter more perpendicular surface to the pin. Or, much more boring styled hoods like the Hondas have.

So, the car should be good to go except for the ECU. Once my friend feels better, I'm going to get him over here so we can diagnose it and get this thing started.

Thanks, and yes, it was a lot of work. You made a wise decision. I'm just glad I'm done with it and can now "enjoy" their benefits. It's still a pain to latch also. Once this build is more complete, hopefully I won't have to keep opening the hood as much.

It runs!!!

Had some wiring issues, but they're all worked out. And the best part is that it's running off a new and improved, top secret, ultra-badass COP setup. It has a better spark, and cleaner looking setup. I'll post pics and reveal it at a later date.

So, now I have to wait on a lame ebay seller to deliver my 3" J-bends so I can fab up my exhaust, weld a bung in it, and start using my wideband to tune. I'm thoroughly shocked that it purred like a mad ape with some blind tuning of the fuel (no o2 sensors).

Hard part is done. It's all downhill from here.

Still need built head, slicks/drag wheels, axles, gears, boost controller, antilag setup, traction bars........

Well done. You list of things to come hardly sounds expensive.
