i hate all these cheap, simple ideas, that when done 'properly' to their full 'potential' are more PITA than other options.

hmmm, are those grooves that are pre-made for o-rings? thats what they look like but im not sure. says they are one both sides? why wouldnt they have grooves around the piston bores?

those are just like sealents, it was on my shark racing decomp. plate. its almost likean RTV type stuff.. feels silicony.. its just for protecting from leakage.
