Its so nice to start fresh. It was all scratched up in there and just not very nice. Its going back together with stainless hardware and everything. Cant wait.

I pulled all the wiring out the hole it comes in. Then just covered the fuse box with a bag and taped it up. Then just held it out of the way to paint. It isnt perfect in that area but its good enough where you cant tell at all. Just hold it out of the way and then use a hanger or something to hold it away from the fresh paint when drying. Prep is key. I spent a ton of time degreasing and cleaning.

Did you clear coat the Cobalt Blue? It looks different. Cobalt Blue requires clear coat to make the color proper.

The paint I got was a base/clear. But, I am no painter and could not lay it on thick enough in the conditions I was painting in to get a good shine out of it right away. They parts you can see will be shined up with some polishing compound and wax, the rest will be just fine. It actually looks pretty nice with more of a matte finish. With $40 of paint and some prep work Im pretty satisfied how it turned out with painting in my driveway. Especially since the shop Im supposed to get a discount at wanted $450.

Got all my brake lines ran and most of the stuff back into the engine bay. Will put the fuel tank back in when the time comes to run the fuel lines and mount the fuel filter and distro block for nitrous.

Also got my Megasquirt yesterday so that is ready to go.

Only thing Im waiting on to get the motor and trans in and drive it is information on the dsm clutch conversion. I have the push/pull conversion done but you need to modify some things to use a turbo DSM clutch. I am talking with Dennist now about how I can get it to work. Timeframe as of right now, Im not sure becuase Im super busy with work. I would like to see it running in a month but Ive said that many times before.
