Here they are. Its all coming together now. Going to be getting a new manifold and then fabbing up the alternator relocation as well as the new downpipe and dump for the wastegate. Then tapping the pan, all AN fittings for return line, welded fitting at pan, NO LEAKS!!! Goal is currently 400whp.
Specs:
8.8 CP Pistons .020 over
Pauter Rods
High Volume Oil Pump
Knife-edge crank
ARP Head and Main Studs

Upgrades with new motor:
44 Tial WG
New Manifold
Megasquirt
Everything V-Band, keeping 3-inch turbo-back
GT35R in the near future
Quaife LSD
Possibly nitrous
Meth Kit
MORE!!!

PICS:

Timed, needs some plugs on the head and then it will be all done except for tapping the pan and fabbing everything together.

I like the black paint.

Did you get head work done?
Any chance I could get a peek inside the combustion chambers?

How much mass came off the crankshaft?

Last question but the first one that came to mind: what's up with that oil pickup? Where's the big hole & screen?

I have no idea with the pickup. Its a Beta 2 and the pickup is different from Beta 1 so mahybe that why it looks wierd

A lot of mass came off the crank. I was surprised. Ill take some close pics tonight.

No head work done. I just rebuilt it stock for now. Got a spare to build later.

homie what head gasket did you use? that looks like the same one i used.... it leaked and i had to replace it.. i will post pics tomorrow for you.. also your engine is almost a carbon copy of mine.. what did you set your rods and mains clearances this is key in making power with the beta..
also when you tq down the head do not use the OEM specs tq it down to 14KGmm.. like this 7k pull 8k pull 9k pull 12 pull 14 set..

in between let them sit for about 30~45 mins..

also if you can have you machine shop set you mains at 0.73mm of clearance..

as you can see on the oil pump you see that gold nut with a hole in it .. its a 24mm pull it out. and at the base or rather in the gold nut. put a 10mm nut in there. keep in mind you will have to cut down the sides of the 10mm nut to make it fit sung in that hole.. this will raise the oil press so you can run a oil cooler and not worry about anything locking up. it a standard thing we do on all tibbys here..

Will do MJ. Can you go over what you torqued the head studs at again? I dont understand your numbers. I know the order, though.

Head gasket, Im not sure. Are you using OEM or what? This is an aftermarket. Felpro I think.

Post pics of that manifold or send them to me if you can, my phone wont get them.

Using a Toga High Volume. Was just a little bit more than OEM. Its actually in an OEM housing, just different internals.

nice build man, this must be what you have been saving up for and buying up all those parts. cant wait to see how it works out for you, as long as you pick the right turbo and get a GOOD tune on it i dont see why you cant pull 400hp. the problem might be putting all that power down, but with LSD your headed in the right direction.
