Ericy's Turbo Build Pics
I hope so to. Ill be running the stock beta 2 head for a while just because of what the springs and machine work is going to cost me. The thing Im waiting on right now is a warmish day to weld some stuff in the engine bay that i gotta do and then another warm day to paint it. Then the motor goes in and I can do the IC pipes and get the exhaust done.
Then the megasquirt is the next thing Im waiting on...

Got the bay painted this past weekend. Looks good for an amatuer job outside. But I prepped it really good so I should be fine. Now all the brake parts and steering and suspension are going back in. Then I will run my new brake lines and fuel lines. The only thing Im waiting on for the motor and trans to drop in is the clutch.
I will be running a clutch from a turbo DSM. I need to finish some measurments as to how I can get it to all work right since it doesnt just bolt right up from what Ive been told. Im also not sure which clutch Im using yet. I do not really want to go twin disc just because I would rather not and they cost so much. I will probably be using the most aggressive single disc I can find. Been looking at a few and will chose as soon as I verify 100% that I can make it work.
My timeline right now for having it on the road is about a month. Probably end of May is more likely but well see what kind of issues I run into. I will update with pics tonight when I get them uploaded.

i'm working on the clutch stuff...
i'm in need of something hardcore also ;_)
but in the menawhile act does have good option for non-turbo dsm clutch..
the range they offer is from 225 ft/lbs to 425 ft/lbs
and those will drop right in with our push conversion stuff

Ya. I have an aftermarket turbo clutch here (a bad one someone was getting rid of) so Im going to do some measuring and stuff and see what it takes. Otherwise the plan is probably to get the biggest NA one I can for now.
Have you looking into a DXD Racing clutch? The Stage V one I bought is supposed to hold over 450ft/lbs after getting the cryotreat option. So far its held numerous dyno runs of 350 ft/lbs to the wheels with not a single slip. Well made clutch and cust service is top notch! And and clutch effort is about the same as stock.. smile.gif
