Alright, the baby has arrived and I should be home for the next couple weeks.

ARKPerformance-
Airram doesn't do much on a turbo setup. It may improve throttle response slightly, but nothing to write home about. Thanks for the suggestions on the swaps. I can send you just a programmed ecu if you like. You can probably fabricate your own harness, but you'll have a very difficult time finding the connectors.

Supercow-
Stock internals with a decompression plate can boost up to 21psi reliably. As I stated before, I would HIGHLY recommend a turbo head gasket. Without the gasket you can run 7-8psi reliably.

airborne, the reason i ask this is because according to my sources, you can just directly swap the ecu, no need for an adaptor. one person already did it. the car would start up fine, however, the car wouldn't move. we found out later that it was because he had an automatic and the ecu was for a manual car. the person he got the ecu from said he didn't want to deal with automatic cars because it was more of a pain (i don't see how it's more of a pain than manual).

btw, can someone answer me about my previous question? what are the gains with this reflash? according to the dyno, i don't really see much difference in the two dyno runs.

The ecu WILL swap into RD tiburons with a harness kit. The RDs use 8 bit bosch ecus, which are completely different than the GK Siemens. Since 2003 GKs use the same ecu, we can just plug in the new one and it will work.

What reflash are you talking about? I don't remember posting any reflashes to compare. the dyno I have posted is of the same setup, 2 runs. Sorry for the conclusion. I suppose you could compare it to my older dyno running 10psi (blue). The red dyno is my old Alpine kit - not really relavent, but it's on there.

In a continuous effort to lower the cost of this kit, you can purchase a compatible MAP sensor from Summit racing.

These Part#s will be compatible:
MSD-2313
MSD-2312
MSD-2313-1
MSD-2312-1

You can choose between 2 and 3 bar. I'd go with the 3 bar so there's room to grow.

Im interested in getting the korean spec ecu, but i have a few questions...

Have you/they settled on a price yet?
How long to get one once the info has been sent?
The maf is no longer connected to the computer since the map sensor is used, right?
Does it matter what year the car is (mine is the 2000 maf based, but hyundai changed some stuff mid-year and mine is the first half so it has a lot of the 97-99 stuff in it with the 2nd gen body style)?

I'm still working on pricing because I'm trying to reduce the cost of certain hard-to-get items. For example, the swap harness is very expensive to make right now since the connectors cost so much. If you need it right away , it will be $550 shipped and you'll have to buy your own MAP sensor from Summit. Hell, I paid over $700 for the swap kit.

The kit will allow you to connect a MAP sensor with your MAF wires and still allow you switch back for emissions.

All US spec RDs are the same ECU-wise

Are the 2003 i4 tiburons compatibile? The reason i ask is my setup is as follows:

17 PSI
REAL ECU
Ross Forged Pistons (8:5.1 Compression)
Ported and Polished Head
MSD Dis 2 Digital Ignition System
Alphine Intercooler
440cc Injectors
190lph Fuel Pump
Garret T3-Super 60 water/oil cooled Turbo
2.5 Inch Exhaust
Apexi SAFC 2
2.5 Bar Map Sensor
2 inch turbo piping, until after the intercooler, pipe expands to 2.5 /w Greddy Type S BOV
Automatic Transmission /w Cooler

I would much prefer this route with you. My ECU is a reflashed SIEMENS ECU (made in Korea). I also my stock one, which hasnt been touched, which I would send to you. Is this setup able to be tuned with you?
