I can't believe that no one here is interested in a setup up like this. This is what I've been looking for ever since I went turbo.
I was very pleased with my VHR purchase through you. Once I have a better idea of my final turbo project plans I would like to contact you with further questions and get a purchase put together. wink1.gif
I am also interested in the possibility of a 2-bit ECU, allowing to flip settings with a cabin-mounted switch
Thanks Patreezy, I appreciate it. I actually kinda enjoy doing all this, maybe I should grow this into something bigger one day. Anyways, for the record it's a 16 bit two mode ECU. It's the exact same ecu, but we add some additional memory to be able to upload 2 sets of ECU data which you can change back and forth with a switch from within the cabin. The only real reason you'd need this is if you run 2 types of fuel like pump gas and race gas. For most people the single mode ecu will be more than sufficient. It has a range of data that automatically adapts to the amount of boost you're running. Using an electonic boost controller to do this will allow you to change different modes.

Yes I will decide on that later, I inquired about the dual-mode ECU because when I race I wouldn't be using pump gas (I am a pilot in training and have access to ALL kinds of gas, all octanes, even jet fuel..LOL). And I would be running pump gas for daily driving (which I do LOTS) of.
But I think 91-93 octane pump gas on a single mode ECU would be fine. I am still up in arms about many aspects of my turbo project, so I cannot give the required information as of now.
And, I would like to know more about the possibilities of doing a re-flash. Who would cover shipping (woudl we each cover our own expenses?). How much would the deposit be for the supplied ECU...
Ideally, I wouldn't have to send it back for a re-flash but you never know..

Jet fuel? That should be interesting.
ECU reflashing is a ways out, but I see a couple ways this could work. Assuming you have the ECU swap kit already and you did some major upgrades, you'd send us your new specs along with a deposit. You can either ship the ecu back to us and we'd reflash it and send it back which could take a while since we're on the opposite side of the world, or we could ship you a new one with updated data and once you get it, ship the old one back to us. Open to ideas, but I think one of those two solutions should work.

I like the latter, but as you said the ECU learns your driving habits and SHOULD be able to handle small upgrades. Like adding an airram to the equation for example?
But when going for more boost with a larger turbo and larger injectors, etc. You will most likely need a re-flash, as I see it.
FYI, We appreciate your help here. With the VHR, this, everything. ...
