If you're already MAP based, I can just hook you up with an ecu. PM for more details

Update -

Decided to turn the power up, I'am now above the 15 PSI tune, and running 19 psi with my auto 'shiftronic' transmission. No slippage of any kind, extremely smooth shifts, VERY FAST car. No detonation either! ECU is running great! fing02.gif

Man, you're just TRYING to break your trans, aren't you? lmao.gif

Don't say you weren't warned!! nana.gif

It's awesome that you're able to run that much boost!!! Maybe the autotranny is stronger than we thought!

I've been giving it heavy load up the speed limit, and nothing is hurt so far. But when I shift under heavy load, I let off and shift the gear (manual mode). Though this isnt required, it drops the load on the tranny when its shifting to a different gear.

So, is there a full kit yet for us maf-based guys (map sensor, wiring harness, etc.)?
Do we have to do some rewiring if we are swapping ecu's for a 2000 tiburon?
Are you using the Korean spec ecu's or the US ones and will it still work with obd-II scanners?
What's the cost for the kit?
I know some of this stuff has been answered already, but I wasn't sure if anything has changed.

Here's a fun fact for you. Some of the wiring, parts, etc. were changed mid 2000 for the tiburons. I found out the hard way when I wanted the b&m short shifter and they gave me the 2000-2001 but it didn't fit. Turns out the earlier series shifter worked for my car. What does this mean you say? My car won't necessarily have the same complications as the 2001. The colors for the wires are even different than the later 2000-2001 and the earlier ones 97-99. So I retain my original question about whether I would have to do the same as tibminn.

Okay mister fun fact, lol. The shifter thing is pretty rare, not many RD2s have that type of shifter, though it HAS been discussed before. But this is about an ECU swap and converting from MAF to MAP.

ONE of your original questions was
QUOTE

And the answer is STILL yes. Is there a way to tell EXACTLY what problems YOU may run into supposing you decided to purchase this (like you did with the short shifter)? NO. Remember, this is the FIRST EVER IN HISTORY swap done with this kit, however, lucky for you, it was also done on an RD2, meaning that you should have a SIMILAR situation as TibMinn if you installed it on your tib, but EXACTLY? NO. Nobody knows what exactly would happen, this has only been done ONCE EVER. That's what you get for buying a rare car with little aftermarket support, you have to be the leader sometimes and modify stuff for yourself. I guess what I'm trying to say is that your car is different than TibMinn's, so if you bought this there is NOBODY who can tell you EXACTLY what complications you MIGHT have. You're just going to have to figure it out once you get it.
