Well, here it is. i already know this will probably get long... lol
I recieved the ECU and swap kit a couple of weeks ago, and got everything put in and hooked up and was all excited to get everything going and went to start her up and ____.... nothing happened. lol. we went over everything we did, double checked all the wiring etc, and everything was right. At this point i was thinking good god, what else will go wrong for me. Found out the fuel pump wasnt pumping fuel and didnt know why so we hooked up an external 12v source to it and it immediately started pumping... tried to start it and it started but died right away. went over everything bout 100 more times and at the end of the day we had just about given up hope
eventually we went through everything wire by wire with a voltmeter and found out that the wiring diagram had one wire listed wrong, we were to have used the 1st tps wire and not the 2nd. that got it running, but it was very weird. we needed to jump the fuel pump to get it running, but then immediately get rid of the extra power to it or it would die. after doing that, it was finally idling. unfortunately, if we gave it gas it stalled. haha.
well now that the car was running we were able to go back over everything with the multimeter and check the signals as they were being sent. this was obviously a lot better than with the car not running. turns out one of the grounds we were using, the ground for the factory IAT, wasnt worth a damn... maybe thats some of the reason my car didnt run well before, who knows. at any rate, ran a new ground and wallah! car runs. cept now the fuel pump had to be jumped the whole time.... goofy crap lol.
In the end everything worked perfect except for the fuel pump not getting power. it is now connected by a new line which will soon be wired into the ignition and will be good as new. the other two problems were just wiring diagram errors which they will easily be able to change, the fuel pump thing they will have to look into.
SO.... how does it run you say?? FANF*CKING TASTIC!!!! seriously drives like a damn dream, its completely unexplainable. the closest i can come to explaining it is to say it drives exactly like stock.... except fast! lol It seriously drives like it was MADE to be turboed. everything is so smooth that i could swear it runs better now than with my stock ecu! really, im not kidding! haha. I will be hooking a wideband up to it in the near future and will share the results of the tune with you all as well. Im running 7-8lbs right now and will bump that to about 15 pending my new clutch smile.gif
If i missed something, didnt explain well enough, or anyone has any questions at all, please do ask. to sum it all up, it was a bit tedious, but im the first person to do this entire swap in the united states, the bugs had to get worked out somewhere, and really the bottom line is that it was WELL worth it!!!! the next one they send out should be problem free and this will be the EASIEST turbo solution for us by far.
Also, one last thing. i just wanna say thanks again to airborne both for the kit and helping me with the problems as they occured. the phone calls from korea couldnt have been too cheap... lol! thanks man!
EDIT- one last thing haha. I took a bunch of pictures and whatnot and I will prob write a little something up and add those later so stay tuned! wink1.gif

Thanks a lot for sharing!
Please do post these pics...
So, If I have a MAP based tib, all I need to do is swap ECU's, or I still need to do all that wiring mentioned above?
Thanks, Sasha.
