I'll give you a 30sec run down even tho I know the threads are out there. The 1.8L intake cam is the most reliable/mild performance cam for the 2.0L. They run about $100. kSpec sells them but do not have them listed on their site. You would need to email David or their Sales dept to get a price on one. The install should be pretty cheap. You really could do it yourself but either way it should only take about 30 minutes.

$109 shipped. Paypal to sales @ kspec.com

Intake Cam would be the way to search.

Or "cams".

If you don't have the time to read a bit man, do you think you should be modifying the internals of your car?

Cams are more around $1000ish. A piggyback is probably one of the better ways to get HP at where your at. Lots of places online sell them, searching on Google or Ebay for S-AFC should get you some prices. Most prices are around $200-250 new.

I would say get three things.

- 1.8L Intake CAM
- SAFC2
- Highflow CAT

Since you have already done the full exhaust track except for the CAT the stock cat is the only thing holding that end back.

As usual, wrong. The XD cam on Kspec is $109, the 1.8L Intake Cam is $109. There's 2 cams for $109. If you want to get BIG BADASS cams, yes, you are going to spend 700 and up, and you will need ECU corrections, the SAFC won't correct enough.

Hamhead, stop trying to scare folks off, it isn't THAT expensive to tune our cars.

There isn't much of a difference. If you look at the specs you will see that the 1.8L intake cam does stay open 6 degrees more than the XD one.

Thanks that's more along the lines of what I wanted to know. If you look up on my previous post, the "this" is a link to what I found on my search for "cams". None of which gave me prices.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I already have a High Flow CAT.
I guess the cams and Apexi SAFC II are coming next.

Thanks again guys.

One more stupid NEWB question:

Do I need to order 1 cam or 2?

I'm guessing since I have a DOHC I need 2?

Thanks

You will only need 1 cam (the intake cam). You may also want to call your local hyundai dealership and order 11 cam journal bolts.
