Well, turns out the track was closed yesterday so no go in that department. They are supposed to be open on next saturday to make up for it. They said it was too cold today to open up so...
I would like to go standalone over winter, there is a prs2 on ebay for 470 shipped and I am tempted to jump on it, but I would really like to get the prs4 if I am going to do it, that way I have more options down the road. Does anyone know the exact differences between the 2 and 4 models? Thanks if so.
I am for sure going to get my codes read and do some diagnostics on my car tomorrow though, gotta get this lean misfire right after upshifts and the lean idle figured out. It has got to be the bank 1 o2 sensor, I am going to disconnect it, and run a wire from the harness side o2 signal wire to the battery, when I touch it to the postitive terminal, it should read lean, negative and it should read rich (could be the other way around, I forget, but if there is no change at all in the afr, then I know it is a harness prob, if there is, then I am going to throw a sensor at it to see if that will alleviate my problem.
Might throw a new set of plugs in there while I am at it.

It is the same thing with the ignition correct. So with the PRS2, I will not be able to run individual coils??
Any other small differences other than the size?
Thanks a lot. cool.gif

Thanks, so what do you think I should do? How much does the PRS4 cost and where could I get ahold of one? If you know. I did some searching on googe and found nothing but perfectpowerusa. I guess it will be around 800.
Thanks for the quick replies.

the newer TIC will control your stock coil packs and run bacth injectors (two pairs)
has a fuel pump output and boost controler output (can be used for something else)
but has no control for idle speed or colling fan
the newer XMS has plenty of nice features and is the latest one from perfect power
i think they might get another xms out but with features more orientated toward the 4cylinders engines

Like I said earlier in the post, go to Perfect Power's website and start calling down the list of US distributers. They seem to have acquired a LOT more since we got ours. In fact, there was really only one at the time.

Thanks for the info guys, and the list Jon. I really can't afford one right now with christmas a couple of weeks away, but maybe in the near future. It also sounds like I should wait for the xms from what you are saying denisst, but how much would that cost? So does the prs4 have idle speed and cooling fan controls?
Thanks again everyone for your continued support.
