I'm wondering if there's any dyno results available for any headers out there. I've heard there are NO dyno results which proove any header is better then a manifold. I'd like to see some.

If there are results availble, then they need to be more then 10HP because you can get those results from a simple ECU reset.

don't be rediculous... The emissions/engine control unit adapts it's output to run clean. after it adapts there's some horse power loss. that's how every mod claims 10-15 HP gains. If each mod actually did give that much HP then people would be running 300HP on NA mods from stuff on ebay.

If you have a dyno vid to prove resetting ECU will give YOU 10whp, I'm going to follow Jeremy's advice and reset my ECU everyday.

 

Rediculous? done one lately? Redz stated once it should be done once a month. The reason for that is because the ECU adapts fuel output to temp, load, gas quality and emissions output from O2 sensor. It's a noticable difference when I do a ECU reset. After break-in procedure is completed, the engine settles down to it's normal operating procedures.

 

it may be different in closed loop, but as soon as you hit open loop there should be no gain at all from reseting ECU.

correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes your correct but it doesn't give you 10whp LOL. We don't drive 5.0L Mustangs.

The most gain being generous I'd probably guess around 3whp. If you can proove that you'll get more then 5whp than I'll shut up and let you educate me.

 

ok, basically, i'd like to see ECU reset with manifold, then ecu reset with headers so there's no differential from set adaptive values after 2 drive cycles. Reason being that you're going to reset the ECU after a mod such as headers anyways and it gets rid of the varriance because adaptive values are still set to default.
