I'm not convinced.tongue.gif There's no way you hit above 130 in a bone stock Tib. Especially stock AUTO. 120 is more realistic.

 

How can you go over 125, don't we have a rev limiter? My car stopped at 125 at about 6k, still had some to go, but limiter kicked in, so I let off. Mods with that 5spd tib are i/h/e/bbtb.

Now, I hate to contradict myself, but it's weird, because I hit 129 exactly in my old stock auto tib, and no limiter kicked in.
What's the deal with that?

Don't know if my speedo was off but I didn't hit any rev limiter and my buddy witnessed the speedo at 130. I think I was at 5800 or 6k rpms when I was at that speed. The only thing done was I have a K&N drop in filter

I didn't believe all the 130mph claims (specially on autotragics)...but I just went out on runway 21L here in Prescott.

and just to see what I could do, I floored in to like 46.5K rpms and hit 160!! wall.gif

ATC gave me clearance for left traffic, I entered the traffic pattern and landed at 180KIAS (knots, indicated airspeed). SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK.

The FAA said it was a new record for a tib. nana.gif

I personally feel that posting about your top speed when you passed a truck on a public highway is just as bad as street racing post.... this would've been locked if I was given permission...
