Lol couldn't have said it better myself. The AEM CAI gets extremely loud, especially at high speeds. Stick your hand out the window at high speeds, and that's what the intake is taking in underneath the bumper. It sound like a formula 1 car... has anyone ever flown underneath a bridge or something similar and all you hear is the echoing from the intake? F-ing beautiful.

that's one thing I missed when i put on my cat-back, the sound of the intake screaming at high rpm's. I have gone under tunnels and bridges with the cat-back at high speeds (w/ windows down) and I love the way the exhaust gets extremely loud at the moment you pass under it and the sound just resonates behind you.

Starting from a stop and taking it to high rpms (in the tunnel or under the underpass)is way better though, pisses all the soccer mom's off. heh heh.

I know its an old topic but I thought I would add my speed!

Living in Las Vegas and On the 215 West bound with a good down hill at the beginning but flattens out the rest of the way, I hit 132 mph approx. (bone stock 2001 Tiburon Automatic) and this is will some turns involved. My friends said I was nuts because of the turns but man does the car grip good over 110 mph.

I put on my CAI and I just love that sound at 90+ mph. I need to slow down though cause I hit 90 likes it 45 tongue.gif.

130+ in my old stock autotragic tib. got pulled over for that one. Thank god they only clocked me when I started out (clocked me at 93 in a 65) I actually got off with a warning too
120 in my new tibby only cause I'm paranoid of cops. So I don't go high speed pretty much ever.
