yah i get attention like that too, everybody looks when i roll by, i love it.. im pretty aggressive but it sucks when you dont want to race somebody but they keep trying to get you to race them...
i was goin down the thruway and i needed to get in the right lane, the only opening was infront of this rusty crx. So i speed up and try to get infront of him, and i hear him downshift and he wont let me in cuz he thought i wanted to race, i flipped him off and got off my exit after he passed me, i wish i didnt have to get off tho...he couldnt drive fer shjt...sigh

Since I live in a small town with 85% of people 30 and up, I usually don't have any problems with people cutting me off. Halifax does have a ricer problem, but they no better than to mess with this. tongue.gif Even if there car might be able to give me a slight run for my money, all of them can't drive. I think the only other person at school with a manual import is a girl who I've started dating. Everyone else is stupid and "sport shifts" (Shift from Low-2-3-Drive... LMFAO) and thinks their fast.
I have so many horror stories about ricers. Like that rolling box (A.K.A Scion xB... LOL) that told his friends he almost beat me. I was pulling out of the golf course, driving a little faster than normal (shifts @ 4k) and he was actually flooring his car. laugh.gif Needless to say I found him at a light later and embarassed him. LOL.

Over here the horror stories have to do with motorcycles..recently, a guy I knew was hauling down a street when an old man pulled out and cut across him...the poor guy was killed leaving behind a wife and two kids..pretty sad.
I have a friend who rear-ended a motorcycle because he was following too close. Luckily he survived. Friend had like 3k damage to his kit, I told him he deserved it. Needless to say his insurance is like 6k a year now.
lol i better not get in trouble from bringing this thread to life back from 12-29-2003, 17:14, i was just hoping that maybe the new members could post in here with their expieriances.
On topic:
so anyway its true, if you have two cars a Explorer and a Tiburon, its easier to cut the tiburon off cuz its smaller, people expect Tibs to just move out of the way for them if they have a bigger car. Also with younger more "sportier" drivers when they see a sleek, sports looking, agresive lights, curvy lines, spoiler, hatchback, coupe, low clearance, of coarse they are gonna wanna race it. I remember a quote from a Car and Driver Article or Canadian Driver or one of those more prominant car magazines "Even when we were leaving the country club the car got looks of encouragemnt" or osmethign to that effect, point is, the Tib turns head, theres no doubting that.

yah i bet, those scions are stock 105whp and they are too heavy for it. they say if you have 2+ people in it, it is VERY VERY slow
i call the xB's aquariums, thats what they are, a huge freaking box on wheels, i saw on one of those "pimp my ride" shows that they actualy put a fudging aquariuam in some old van in the windows, it was soo hilarious.
