Thanks so much guys, I didnt think I was going to get this many replies since all of you dont know me too well. I appreciate all your thoughts and words a lot. Right now my mom's surgery was a success but tomorrow she's getting a procedure done to make her stomach a little bigger so she can eat more. Hopefully this will help too..its all hard but Im getting by.
ToXic: my mom is being treated at robert wood johnson hopsital in rahway. really good place. I appreciate your thoughts but I dont like to hear about other people with my mom's cancer dying..doesnt make me feel great. I just need encouragement.
Alex: Thanks so much for that comment hunni, your really one of the few people who notice that I have a lot of strength. You keep me going too.

Well, the only reason my "aunt" died was because she was very old and her body wasn't as strong as younger people to battle cancer. Had she gotten it in her 50's, she would probably still be alive now. It's just a matter of when you get something, and how you treat it. I'm sure your mom will pull through. It's not like she's your great-grandmother or a small child. She has a very huge chance of beating this. With all of the medical advances we have nowdays, and the constant support from her own family, that will keep her going.
Is the RWJ hospital the same as Rahway hospital?
^Yes it is. It used to be called Rahway Hospital but they remodeled it and also changed the name of it.
I understood what you were saying, the younger you are the better chance you have of pulling through. Right now I call this a rough patch in my mom's battle with cancer. Hopefully she'll beat the worst part and live for many years to come. I just keep a lot of hope and optimism.

And yes the chemo did shrink the tumor a little bit, so thats one thing we all can be glad about. smile.gif
Well they are putting the tube back in my mom's nose to keep draining the fluid from her stomach so that's not the greatest news. She's not feeling all that great today so let's hope she feels better tomorrow.
Im being as optimistic as possible. smile.gif

I'll definitely be praying for your mom. She seems to have as many problems going on right now as my girlfriend. My girlfriend was in a situation just as bad last year, and is starting to go through more problems right now, but no matter how bad it seems to get, it will eventually get better. Positive thinking, prayer, and close friends/family make it so much easier. Good luck.

Wow, cancer sucks. My grandmother is battling colon cancer as we speak. She's one tough lady herself so it's really hard to see them so fragile.
I hope everything goes well for you.

Well selina asked me to update her mothers condition, which is not good, actually you can say very bad.
Her mother had surgery today, it brought very bad news. The cancer has spread so much that the operation that they planned to do was no longer an option. Selina told me exacly where it went but i forgot the name of it. Her mother was in a very weak condition before the operation, the operation was supposed to allow her to eat and drink properly and let her regain her strenth, which did not happen. Because her mother was very weak, the surgery put her in a coma and the doctors say she wont make it, and she is expected to go very soon, were talking hours if not days. She took the news relatively well and has accepted that her mother will pass very soon, she told her mother everything she wanted to say before she passes, and she told me to telll you all thank you and that she really appreciates everyones concern. She knows the prayers helped. Hopefully her family will stay as strong as selina has been and is. Please pray for her mother, her family, and for selinas strength, i know i will be.

That actually brought tears to my eyes. I honestly could not bring myself to be as strong as she has been. I'm so disheartened to hear about her mother. That truely isn't something at least I wanted to hear. I'll be hoping and praying for a miraculous recovery, and in the event that this doesn't happen, a strong recovery on the behalf of Selina and her family.
