Well to start off my mom was diagnosed with stomach cancer in January. She was doing alright, having some rough times but now she just hit a rough patch. She was admitted to the hospital last Thursday because she couldn't hold any food down. Turns out the duct in her stomach was swollen and wasnt allowing any normal fluid to flow normally. So for about five days they fed her through a feeding tube via i.v. The fluid that kept building up in her stomach was being constantly drained via a tube in her nose. Today she had surgery to open up that duct 75% so she can eat normally and the fluid can flow easily. The doctor said the surgery was a success but now we have to see if it actually is going to work. I went to visit her today with my dad and she looked okay..the doctor gave her light food to try today though normally she should be starting tomorrow. She ate some soup, and tea, and jello but about 20 min later just threw it all up again. It's too early to tell anyway if the surgery worked so we all can't jump to conclusions, I mean her stomach has been empty for five days..any food entering it will be like a shock. It's hard to see someone you love sick like that but what can you do.
It's a rough time for us over here and I am just wondering if you guys can keep my mom in your prayers. Just pray she'll recover so she can eat normally and enjoy life more. Hopefully this all passes and she'll feel better.
Thanks a lot guys.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I know that's a really difficult situation to be in. My dad has had more than his fair share of bouts with cancer, and it is really hard to see someone you care about like that. I hope everything goes alright for you and your family and this turns to be nothing more than a rough patch.

Good luck with everything. I don't want to be a black spot, but if things take a turn, be sure to say everything you want so you don't have regrets. She will be in my prayers, and I wish the best for your family.
