I do not know if this is appropriate but I wrote this poem for Chris and his family.

"Your sister will forever be, in our hearts and prayers you see, you are family like she to you, so stand strong and forever true.You may not know why, or think how, but we are here for your family as long as you allow. Anything and everything, that you may need, just ask upon us and you shall receive. She was very pretty and its a shame she is gone, but be strong for your family and her spirit will live on."

capn tibs - I think I'm currently about $40 short of having enough for the bear, but I've also received PMs from two members who will be sending money as soon as their paypal account allows.

If you've already donated, the staff appreciates your contributions. There's no need to make a second donation, I'm sure we'll have enough, and I have the ability to chip in whatever's necessary to make it happen.

this reminded me of my late friend Johnny Torres, he also was killed in a vehicle accident this year. He served with me on my destroyer the USS Carney. Since he was a well known person amongst the crew, when we all found out about his passing, we held a memorial service in navy fashion, and gathered up funds to buy a huge wreath for the wake and funeral. Also I had just bought a digital camera, so I gave it to one of the guys on the ship to record the ceremony. please watch this and take the time to reflect on your family and friends, and make sure they are being safe, that they know when to get out of a bad situation if they feel they should. Watch out for each other.
