Thanks for heading this up majik.
I think something lasting would be a little better than fruit or sweets or even flowers. I find something like a nice rose bush, or flowering tree is something they'll always have and help remember. Instead of it being gone within a week, they always have that token.
That being said, whatever we do will certainly be appreciated.

 

I agree StrikeEagle, that's why we're sending a Vermont Teddy Bear (Angel) and a large Peace Lily floor plant for their house in addition to the baked goods basket.

I will be ordering tonight to enure Friday delivery.

 

^^ Gotcha, for some reason I thought the peace lily was a 1-2 week flower... And the Angel bear did sound like a good idea.

where do we stand? the site was down for a day.. have we heard anything from chris? I am working on getting something from here to him..

 

I ordered everything last night, it should all arrive sometime on Friday (today is Wednesday in the U.S.).

I ordered:
Vermont Teddy Bear (may arrive tomorrow)
Peace Lily floor plant, about 2 ft. tall (mine has lasted over a year and still going strong)
Baked Goods basket (see description posted above)

On Friday we'll remove the mask to this forum so Chris can see those who donated.

argh, I just checked the status of the Vermont Teddy Bear order, and they didn't put the card message on there for some reason. I guess Chris and his family will be wondering who sent it. Well, it was us wavey.gif

FYI: The Vermont Teddy Bear was "out for delivery" this morning according to UPS at 4:29 a.m.

The basket and plant should be delivered tomorrow.

 

those bears come shipped pretty neat. the boxes have holes so the bear can "breathe"

have we head anything from chris... has anyone talked to him or made contact with him??? if anyone lives close by him maybe they should go and check up on him.. I am not saying he would but ever man has his beaking point.. he should not be left alone...
